The "MOTEMOTE Character Battle!" will contain 64 female characters from various anime and manga and will span for over two months. Two characters will face off each day in a tournament style match where users vote for the character they find more attractive. Before the contest starts registered users are able to create their own bracket to select their favorite participants. Users have until December 1st (the day the contest starts) to finish their brackets. Users brackets will appear in their profile, which can be accessed by clicking the link at the top of the page.

The winning user(s) will receive prizes supplied by the sponsor of the contest, J-List.

Users had two weeks to vote new participants in and out of the bracket.
