[Anime] Akame ga Kill!

I read the manga first, and I'm sadly a bit disappointed. Yes, for the majority they're staying true to the manga, but they are overlooking the small details - and those are what (I think) make the manga so great.

First episode was good , considering I had no idea what to expect.
The art style is so generic and the constant change between sad/funny moments gets really annoying. Apart from that, I'm gonna keep watching this.

I love the manga because it's gut wrenching. I don't need too much comedic moments when reading the manga, and I don't want too much comedic moments when I'm watching the anime.

The first episode felt weird. The constant change did make it awkward at times, but also how do you have the main character take down that huge beast at the beginning, but doesn't even look like he tried to fight when the girl attacked him.... Also the way the anime changed when the mom was cut in half sort of creeped me out. Went from mild manner to really dark...

It's just that Akame is that much stronger.

and in turn makes Tatsumi more cautious as he already saw the guards who he thinks are "strong" get OHK'd by Akame and the Night Raid.

Danger Beasts are just random mobs in an mmorpg, Akame is a Boss level character.

50 chapters. If you are asking how good it is, just read it and find out is my suggestion. No harm in doing so I say.

I'd suggest you read the manga after you watch the anime. Because for me, the enjoyment value decreases if you do it before you watch the anime.

Pretty solid start. I'll worry about the manga after since I agree that kind of thing really can put a damper on the enjoyment sometimes.

Tough that his friends went out like that in the first episode. Although they didn't seemed destined to live very long with the whole absence from the OP.

Might not have been bad to not try to comedy at the end with the abduction and let him mourn their loss a little more.

Show remains pretty fun. Certainly the first two had some satisfying takedowns of some seriously evil people. Getting a Mine focused episode wasn't bad either.

I hate this fucking anime now ...
