I guess the main reason people think that it is a rip off of yugioh is for the fact the creator of yugioh also made this game

I personally like the feel of this card game over yugioh for the reason that this can go both ways..... In yugioh, you have to mainly decide upon one or two strategy until the opponent is defeated......but in vanguard, the strategy is still there but u are allow more freedom, such the top decking for triggers and the evolution system. I personally love top decking FTW.
