EP 2
Spoiler:
Yes! I want more of this PKK to occur. I'm just wondering if their party will increase.

Spoiler:
It could go either way, or maybe their party will increase briefly due to current circumstances within an arc before going back to the original 3

Ep2
Spoiler:
This was a decent episode so far. Of course, the PK fight showcased both the game's class/ability systems (luckily not too heavy on exposition) and Shiroe's reputation/prowess as a strategist. And now they have a 'quest', so to speak. (Though I wonder why Shiroe and Nao couldn't have pulled out their Griffin whistles sooner. :P )

EP 3
Spoiler:
So...
Akatsuki is a legal loli and Guild Brigandia acting like Brigands. I wonder if the people in Akatsuki's ED would be the guildmates of Shiroe?

Ep 3
Spoiler:
Dat scene with Serara, hnnnggg how cute was that. That flashback that Shiroe had, were those supposed to be the Debauchery Tea Party? Coz that girl with the hat was kinda cute too.

And a lil' something I found

I see prostitute in there. That's an odd subclass.

Anyway,

Episode 3
Spoiler:
I feel that this anime is bringing back nostalgia to me. I would go back to playing MMORPG but I can't at the moment. I also wish that the rest of the Debauchery Tea Party members are shown in the future episodes, with more screen time. Also, Akatsuki being the same age as Shiroe surprised me. The fight scene was good and Serara was so adorable! Looking forward to the battle next week!

I didn't even think about seeing the other members of debauchery tea party, that indeed would be a cool thing to see. Overall great episode, just really makes you feel like you're in this game.

I want to play an mmo now...

Really liking the ending song

Episode 4
Spoiler:
Demikas be crazy over Serara. Well wouldn't be? Anywho, it seems unclear for Demikas' motive to get her back. Or maybe I'm missing something that I should've focused on.

Also, cool downs and cast times also happen in the game, eh? This really puts the pressure on the players. The fight scenes are cool. Nyanta's dual wielding skills was amazing~

Can't wait to see the truth Nyanta's about to reveal in the next episode.

I've got to give it to this anime. It's really starting to grow on me. At first I thought, oh god, it's just SAO again, but it's really starting to differentiate itself and become it's own narrative.

Spoiler:
The themes it revolves around are inherently different from SAO.

While SAO's main theme is: When a game becomes more than a game
Log Horizon's main theme is: When your existence becomes a game

It's this reversal of the main theme that really starts to drive this story away from the SAO story. SAO's situation created a community that was much more harsh to troublemakers (hence the eradication of The Black Coffin by frontliners) and overall more oriented to clearing their death-game. While Log Horizon focuses so much more on what would happen in a society when accountability is taken out of the equation. It's almost like a VRMMO "Lord of the Flies", albiet much less...dark I guess?

Bull's eye. You have no idea.

Spoiler:
Things are getting a lot more interesting now. Before it was just "Exploring the world!" and "Saving Serara!", but now there's a real story and Shiroe is finally doing something.

Ep7

Spoiler:
As expected, Shiroe's using Crescent Moon's newly-discovered food items in order to make money, but also to begin stirring the current stagnation in Akiba. Shiro does seem to like his 'plans within plans' approach and an number of points that came up in this episode seem to provide a few hints as to the next stages. (1 poss.: real estate)

Good draw so far in this series.

Anyone who read the Novel or knows more info on Log Horizon?
Spoiler:
I am curious on that female monk of DTP on Shiroe's flashback? She appears on the OP but I'm not sure she'll be present in the anime.

Personally,I like it.At the beginning I also thought it was 1:1 with SAO,but after the 3rd ep i saw that it isn't true :) So I'm enjoying it pretty much right now.

a little bump for this thread would be nice.

anyway, here's what I was about to post.

Looks like the Bard and the Sorcerer is going to join the Log Horizon Guild(since they're on the top of the building).

I recommend you put a spoiler warning on that. I don't mind cause I'm following the LN but for the rest who doesn't, they might.

Gravity cat the adequately amused
I picked this up because of the DATABASE jokes. It's a pretty good watch.

You'd be forgiven for thinking it's a SOA ripoff but you soon come to realise that it focuses less on romance, action and trying to stay alive while defeating the bad guy, and more of a "what-if" scenario in a virtual world with no laws and the political formation of a government, while still maintaining that they're inside a game that they can't escape from, the motives and solid cause still unknown to us. Not to mention the ability to die without negative repercussions on their physical selves.

Another SAO?

This is far closer to .hack than SAO and is also far better than SAO. I would say give this a go, especially if you find some of the friendship power ups in current manga/anime stupid.

You shouldn't really compare this to Sword Art Online. Granted they both take place in a game in which the characters are trapped but many animes have similar settings. So far Log Horizon is much more intellectual that SAO, many episodes are simply dedicated the the reactions of the players with in the main city and how Shiroe (MC) is trying to help them. As an MMORPG player myself I can really relate to Shiroe in comparison to Kirito (who I love) who seems like an overpowered 14 yr old. As of episode 12 of Log Horizon there has only been a few episodes that completely rotate around battles. Log Horizon tends to concentrate on things like the economics and psyche of the players. I would definitely recommend this anime 10/10, its very intellectual and political.

It's getting intense I tell you...
