[Anime]Shingeki no Kyojin/ Attack on Titan

Several hundred years ago, humans were nearly exterminated by giants. Giants are typically several stories tall, seem to have no intelligence, devour human beings and, worst of all, seem to do it for the pleasure rather than as a food source. A small percentage of humanity survived by walling themselves in a city protected by extremely high walls, even taller than the biggest of giants.

Flash forward to the present and the city has not seen a giant in over 100 years. Teenage boy Elen and his foster sister Mikasa witness something horrific as the city walls are destroyed by a super giant that appears out of thin air. As the smaller giants flood the city, the two kids watch in horror as their mother is eaten alive. Elen vows that he will murder every single giant and take revenge for all of mankind.

I love this manga due to it's sliding factor of for every small victory they get, the odds always get restacked, as well as the mystery of the whole Titan origin thing. Trailer was awesome. Can't wait!!

Haven't watched anime since I dropped SAO. This on the other hand is something I definitely won't miss out. Manga is great and the animation of the trailer looks amazing.

Action scenes look awesome, definitely interested, though giants seem kinda .. lame weird?

I am totally psyched about this anime. It's sent the good kind of goosebumps run through my body. I absolutely can not wait for spring.

I've been meaning to read the manga but I haven't gotten to it yet. It must be pretty good if it's getting an anime adaption.

Manga is awesome, so the anime should be good too.

The music sounds like "the wired" in Serial Experiment Lain.

Recalling how brutal the manga was, I'm really expecting gore-ish action and human chomping later.

I only have one problem with this anime's manga. The manga has so many flash-backs you'd swear it was Hajime no Ippo.

It's a fantastic manga no doubt, but the only problem I have is I get lost in their sense of time. Flashback-Time Skip-Flashback-Time Skip again. I've read this manga for a while, even now I don't relatively know the time it's been since chapter 1 and 40.

Oh I really can't wait for this one. I fell in love with the manga. I just hope it doesn't get bogged down with censoring... (Deadman Wonderland...)

Toriko, Majin Tantei Nogami Neuro and Beelzebub were suppose to be more gritty and bloody than they are depicted in the anime. If they are going to pull that same shit again then my faith in the anime industry is lost.

I can't weigh in on those animes, because I've never seen them (planning to watch Toriko and going to start reading Beelzebub again soon, Majin Tantei Nogami Neuro looks interesting too), but this story (for the sake of those reading) relies heavily on the atmosphere. The sheer brutality portrayed created the environment and tone of the series. Censoring it will really undermine the story. I want to see the sheer emptiness (futility of) and horror evoked by the manga in the anime adaption. I have really high expectations.

On a side note: I really like how far 3d in anime is coming. The environment and titans look pretty good.
