difference between anime and manga

Hello, another question. My husband surprised me with his preference. But I don't understand one thing. What is the difference between anime and manga? Thank you for your clarification

Manga is basically written and drawn in the form of a book, and Anime is the animated version of said book, with voice actors, color. Anime is just the animated adaptation of a manga, brings it to life you can say.

The previous poster said it well, but... When the word "anime" comes up, it can also be referring to the general art style found in anime and manga. For instance, there are lots of video games with an anime art style.

ah okay, but in the end both are the same? I don't necessarily want to step on his toes^^

The style is more or less the same in general, but like the first reply stated: manga is the book form (comics/graphic novels) of the medium, whereas anime is animations. So it's sort of like differentiating between comic books and cartoons.
