Personally I'm raging over the fact that 12th episode's the last one, it feels like, the curtain just opened. Story just got started, don't see why they end it immediately. S2?!

Agreed! I believe there will be a season 2 since from the looks of it, the good part(s) just started (I'm not saying the previous episodes were bad, but the plot has advanced quite a bit). I really don't think the producers are going to just abruptly end this series.

EDIT: OK, so I just finished episode 12 (which was pretty epic by the way). The way the producers wrapped it up made it seem like a season 2 won't come out. :/
It looked like it had potential for a second season around episode 10 but after that the anime was wrapped up. Now I'm pretty skeptical on whether or not there will be a second season since there doesn't look like much they can expand on other than more problems with the human-dragon relationship and more background story on dragons and Lost Precious-es, etc.

P.S: After listening to the soundtrack and then watching the anime, it's not as enjoyable. D:
So yeah, watch the anime first and then listen to the soundtrack. XD

Just got done watching the final episode.
Spoiler:
While I was glad that Ryuji and Rose were able to get together in the end, I didn't like how their "love engage" was basically able to evaporate a high level dragon like Onyx; that seemed like a bit over the top to me. I would have preferred their love engage to be some kind of large dual attack; not a giant heart.

Overall this series was pretty decent, but suffered from pacing issues and not explaining everything thoroughly. I'd watch a season 2, but I don't think it's going to happen.

Ep 12
Spoiler:
that was basically the same for me, except I laughed when the love engage started up. the only thing I could think of was that old song "Its the power of love!" I do hope they come out with a second season...it would be worth it.

It's the POWA of LOVE!!

Good series, cute ending.

It would be nice if there would be a season 2, but it doesn't look that way :(

Ep 12:

Spoiler:
Does anyone else remember the final battle with...Devil Gundam, I think? at the end of G Gundam?

And they said Heart was a useless power.

Episode 12:
Spoiler:
Yo, Onyx. Pissing off a childhood friend ... NEVER A GOOD IDEA! Also, you might want to avoid flying cars, especially if they're hurtling towards your head.

The last couple episodes were kind of lacking, but this episode finished things off decently. There were some inconsistencies in this episode though. Like the one Society soldier gets out of that vehicle and is in a chopper like 20 seconds later. And after Ai saves the soldier, Kai goes from being in the cockpit, to being a good distance away from the plane. It was nice seeing everyone randomly show up at the end. I think I might actually miss Misaki's "Hoooouuuuuuu!" cry.

Take no offense but although that "cry" was intended to sound cute, I thought it was quite annoying since it was used too much. But that's just my opinion. XD

I thought that as well, particularly in the "scary movie" episode. But somehow I've gotten attached to it.

I'm going to continue to watch this; I just want to see how more generic it can get.

Indeed. I seem to start an anime, and even though I know it will have either a sad ending that makes me hate it or an obscure ending that makes no sense at all, I continue to watch it to the end either way.

I quite enjoyed picking apart this anime in a review, which I will briefly recreate here.

So regardless of who I might offend or please with this post on the matter of Dragon Crisis, I must continue and write my rather brief review.

Just to be clear, I watched this anime during spring of 2011, just after the final episode had been subbed in English and placed on a streaming site.

Story/Plot: 3/10

The plot was very obscure even to the end, so the word 'generic' doesn't even do it justice. I wondered what was going to happen afterward, and then I realized that this anime was based on a light novel, so this 'craptacular work covered in mud' was likely created to promote people to buy and read the light novel in the first place.

The objects called the "Lost Precious" were never fully explained, nor was the "Breaker LV" system, from which I can only begin guessing is related to a character's power or potential power.

There is so much else I wish to pick apart, but I will save it for another day.

Character Appearances/Personalities: 1/10

I was so dissatisfied with the personalities of the characters that it was nearly unendurable to continue watching the series after episode one. I am a loyal otaku, and so I will watch and read any anime or manga I begin to finish, which is why even though I hate Bleach, Naruto, and One Piece with a divine wrath, I will follow them to the bitter and horrific end.

Back to Dragon Crisis, Ryuji was a carbon copy of the male lead from Elfen Lied (I cannot remember his name for the life of me), but with a more reserved personality, but even moreso, a dull sense of situation discretion. I also felt that this anime, even if it had been rewritten by a master author of manga and anime, could never make me laugh or cry, because only very deep and high-quality plots and characters can do that.

Also, I was enraged that Rose, the female lead, was also a carbon copy of 'Nyu' from Elfen Lied.

It seemed like, aside from the fact that this is about human-dragon relations and has nothing to do with vector-based psychic monsters evolved from humanity, it is essentially Elfen Lied 2.0, watered down to the max.

Also note that I did not enjoy Elfen Lied either - I would give it a 4/10 overall at best, and that's only if I am feeling like an extremely generous reviewer.

That being said, I despise whoever wrote the Light Novel after reading it, because it is essentially the same as the anime, only longer and without translation errors (It is in Japanese), and as such I give the author a -99/10 for originality.

Everything about this anime screams plagiarism to others in so many ways I can only begin by naming two anime which I dislike that this is a watered down copy of.

Elfen Lied and Tokko. It is like Tokko how, you ask? The male lead starts off as a very weak character, eventually gaining enough power to do whatever he must due, via plot convenience methods. Also, he is surrounded by a circle of people that want to take his love, and then he chooses the one relationship that is least likely to work out in the end.

In my humble opinion, stupidity of the author screams a legendary -999/10 for using the human brain to think of things that no one else has before. It's possible, but this author was far to lazy and uneducated to try, I believe.

...

That was not even half of my full review, but I guess I'll cut it off there. I don't have all the time in the world in the first place. I thank you all kindly for your time and if you manage to read this short story of a post, then I say, congratulations to you because you could possibly be one of the few readers who I might see as a dignified reader.

All I can say about the anime is that the game is better off than it.

Except reviews aren't opinion pieces.

That's not an otaku, that's a masochist.

I kind of understand how you could compare this to Elfen Lied, and I kind of don't. The setup is similar, but they both have drastically different tones.

Considering how many words it took you to state your opinion, "humble" is the last thing I would call it.
