Fairy Tail Anime Ends

I have just learned that March 30 will be the last aired episode of Fairy Tail. The manga will be continuing but the anime will end. Learning about this was shocking. I have become a huge fan of the series after watching the anime and now learning that they don't intend to continue following the manga is very disappointing to me. I am unclear on the reasons for why the producers decided to end the series. If you have any info or just want to express your feelings I would enjoy talking about it

Got the hots for Lucy and Erza.
Liked the manga but not so much about the anime.

Didn't really care much for the anime. I keep up with the manga though.

Never watched the anime or manga, but it did caught my attention for a moment. Maybe because of the lack of finances or because it's popularity dropped.

It might because of there last season of filler with the infinity clock, it was a bit boring. However the last 10-15 episodes have been amazing.

It's one of the 4 long running anime. (the ones that get an episode every week for 4-5 years) I think it took off around the time that reborn ended. wonder what they will replace it with???

Also now that I think about it (is that date really correct) march 30 would mean that they could only get 5 episodes out, but I think it will take more then 5 episodes to finnish this season.

They intend on ending at episode 175. The announcement was made after episode 170. There is only 5 more. It doesn't look like they intend to end the current arc. It will stop in the middle of it

not surprised. I stopped watching the anime during the clock filler arc. It got really boring
