Favourite Old School Anime?

First episode has to have been aired before the year 2000.

Mine are Great Teacher Onizuka & Trigun.

GTO and Samurai X,Gokusen too,but I dont know if its pre-2000

I haven't seen too many older anime, but I guess I'd have to go with either Cowboy Bebop or Yu Yu Hakusho.

Nadia and the secret of blue water was the first anime I fully viewed in its entirety. It fucking blew my mind when I was a kid. No regrets.

I like a lot of anime from before 2000; Trigun, Cowboy Bebop, Serial Experiments Lain, Rurouni Kenshin, Ranma 1/2, Video Girl AI, Lupin the III, Ghost in the Shell (film), Yu Yu Hakusho, Dragon Ball, Slayers, Vision of Escaflowne, Revolutionary Girl Utena, Tenchi Muyo, Sailor Moon (JP though Dubs were my staple as a child lol), Akira (film), Cardcaptor Sakura, The Big O, Miyazaki/Ghibli movies.

Top pick for old school here would have to be Aim for the Top!, though I just love the story of how Cutey Honey happened ahahaha

Rurouni Kenshin (the one that started it all for me) and the older Gundam shows.

Shoot... there are several on your list i havent even heard of O.o

Lol, I watched a lot of old school anime before I even started on newer works. Use to buy them at old garage sales via good ole VHS x3

Pokemon and Berserk. Technically I can say Yu-Gi-Oh! Season 0 also.

Probably DBZ as number one. I also love Serial Experiments Lain and the older Ghibli movies.

SDF: Macross and I watched it without subs before with a slight understanding of japanese.

Voltes V and Daimos? anyone? I liked it when kid back in PH in Filipino dub. It sparked love for mecha in me. Dem combine and transform.
