This show seems like it's slowly going down shit hill. :|

Just calling it now.

Regardless of whether it does or not, I'll still continue loving this.

ah, I think it's getting better with every new episode.

4th was to me the best so far. Seeing how fast the relationship is going between the MC and Ryouko, no wonder this series is only 13 episodes long.

Loved the 4th EP. Relationship between Ryoushi and Ryouko is speeding up. I also love Otohime. This is comical. Im looking forward to it every week.

LOL

I just did a little research about some characters name and the maid
Otsuu Tsurugaya (鶴ヶ谷おつう)

the 鶴 (Tsuru) actually means Crane, which could hint why she has that fetish, since it came from the faitytale, Tsuru no On-gaeshi (A Repaying Crane.

I still Can't figure out Liszt though. While Alice doesn't show any links to Alice in wonderland, while Majoko maybe a representative to ALL witches in fairy tales

Hansel and Gretel WINCEST

While the comentator for the Beauty Pageant, Suzume Shitagiri (下桐すずめ) is actually from The "Tongue-Cut Sparrow" (Shitakiri suzume....duh obvious) lol Suzume means Sparrow, and Shita means Tounge and Giri (kiri) means to Cut

I don't know enough fairy tale stories to understand most of what you said, but thanks none the less for doing the research and sharing it with us ^^

Every time I watch this show, I'm reminded of To aru Kagaku no Railgun, especially when the main heroine Ookami Ryouko looks like Misaka Mikoto and the voice of god (narrator) is the same seiyu who voiced Shirai Kuroko from TaKnR.

That aside, this series has its own merits, and I certainly have had my fair share of laughs watching this show with its ridiculous antics and characters. Since I box, I was pretty ecstatic when Ryouko was using boxing techniques to bring the baddies down.

Wow. I'm going to have to look that up as well, thanks!

I found a whole article about the story, if anyone's interested:

And I've really been enjoying the last couple of episodes, especially Otsuu's episode. :)

Its interesting how this show takes the concept of a faitytale and spins it in some amusing ways.

Definitely! That's why it keeps my interest. :)

Yeah it delivered.

If I had one complaint it would be the lack of breast factor for the protagonists.

Actually I liked in the 1st episode thew narrator apologizing for the lack of breasts for the "fan service"

This anime intends to be funny most of the time, but it also knows how to get serious when it matters, a bit like Angel Beats namean? In episode 5, we were able to take a glimpse at some serious business regarding Ryouko and her past. /Me looking for more information in the episodes to come.

I smell betrayal of an innocent girl. Makes me wanna rage. I can also see why Ryouko has a tough girl front but is insecure and weak on the inside. Hopefully we get to see the Oni president get his just deserts.

You know it's Ironic that the Sheep (or Shepherd) (Hitsujikai) is the one terrorizing the wolf. lol

Ah, I didn't know that, but that's definitely an interesting twist.

As for episode 5, I really liked it. It had both solid plot development as well as interesting battle sequences, (that I wish were a bit longer), as well as the usual comedic antiques.
Spoiler:
I guess Hitsujikai is the reason why Ookami-san tries to be strong, as it seems that he has had some negative effect on Ookami's personal life. I'm wondering if he is the wolf in sheep's clothes, and that he eventually killed Ookami's family. Definitely anticipating future developments on that issue...

Although the real highlight of the episode was Momoko. I really like her, and I laughed hard
Spoiler:
when it was hinted that she was Bisexual, and when she tried to seduce Ookami and Ryoshi into a threesome.
I hope to see plenty more of her in the future.

Episode 6 made me smile from beggining to end.

Now I'm just waiting for Ryoushi to give Hitsujikai a good smacking and become a man worthy of Ryouko.

It's nice to see a fast developing relationship between Ookami and Ryoushi. Episode 6 was pretty good, a lot of background on Ookami and Ringo was given. The great balance between getting me emotionally interested in the characters, while at the same time not revealing too much has piqued my curiosity. I'm definitely hoping for more of the same and the ending may be a bit more climactic than some are willing to believe.

At first you don't succeed, try and try again.

And if that doesn't work, man up and try again.

I gotta give it to Ryoushi for never giving up on Ryouko. Too bad the episode still doesn't go into specifics as too what happened to Ryouko when she was with Hitsujikai, but we get the general gist. According to the novels, she was raped by Hitsujikai and nobody believed her, hence her dramatic transformation to this tomboy tsundere. (I'd spoiler this, but the spoiler functions don't work anyways.)

Whoa now, if you were following along with the episode, they did say that Ryoushi needed to get closer to Ookami to find out what happened. I kind of imagined this was the scenario anyways but you might be spoiling it for others.
