[Anime] Persona 4 Golden: The Animation

Revealed in the Atlus live stream, the anime will feature Marie who appeared exclusively in Golden.







P4G anime will air in July. Most of the people who made the first anime will also be on this one. First anime was meh, so I guess they'll step it up a notch.

Well I can imagine the (funny and good) scenes of golden and "her" dungeon in 6-7 eps. They could add the whole Aeon and Jester social link scenes (and fillers if needed) for 12 eps. but not 24-26 eps I guess. Kaguya would be definitely on this one.

I wish they show Alice this time and Yuu using Magatsu. She gets to be he main heroine in the anime lol.

Well was a reminder that it's been a couple years since the original anime ended. Oddly not that big a gap between between P4->P4:Golden=4 years to P4:Anime ->P4: Golden Anime = little under 3 years.

Really will depend on how they handle this. Really the original P4's issue was pacing and not having enough episodes. Be nice if they could somehow push it this time to over 2-cour. In that case they could really change things up from the first anime and implement the Golden characters and S.Links more than the game could.

Could be a big mess, but will at least give them the benefit of the doubt. I know some have gotten frustrated at P4's popularity and how it lead to numerous other things, but I still do like P4 as a whole.

I never played Golden so I dont really know much but isn't it just like adding a few scenes and extra here and there?

P4 is a remake add-ing stuff in that they wanted too but couldn't when they made the original P4

IMO it not that biggey i still injoy play-in the orignal P4 on my emulator

Basically it's adding to the core story and just creating an overall better experience. Visuals got sharper, though still very much the same as the original. Added a new character, a couple social links, several events, an epilogue, etc. Then just some fun little additions like quiz games, music player, video player, some footage from Persona concerts, and such.

It's still the same game at the end of the day, but enough added that I'd still consider it the best version of the game.

I'll see about the anime but first, let me order Persona.

Like the others, I'm wondering how they're going to tackle this one.

I did enjoy both the Persona 4 and Golden games, as well as the anime. Yet, the pacing was a bit off (especially the middle episodes, where they crammed 10 social links in 2 episodes).

If they add Marie, her dungeons, and a few more social links, I wonder if they can make a whole series off this. But I can see if they add more of the bonus content in Golden, like the extra summer and winter scenes, they can get to 8-10 episodes without repeating the original's Persona 4: Anime.

Either way, I'll be watching this.

Wouldn't it make sense for Marie to be the main focus this time?

They've got a lot to work with so I'm not really afraid of rehashed content.

This or Phoenix Wright or Ghost Trick. (I know, capcom, but these are portable games I'd like to see animes out of.)

On another note, I guess I'll watch this since I won't be shelling out for a Vita anytime soon and finding SMT Games, in retail stores, is ridiculously hard after their initial release. So I really don't expect to be playing Golden anytime in the future.

Battle scene was a bit meh but who cares, I'm in this for Marie and I already like what I saw.

I know I called NG+ hacks on that guy too, no way socially inept, dumb as rocks NG Yuu could do something as smooth as talk back to King Moron And that Mazionga...

Anyhow first time seeing Marie since I never played Golden, I'm pretty much in this just because of Marie's role as hostess to the Velvet Room rather than her character or anything else in this adaptation.

[color=#ff69b4]I have never play Persona 4 Golden, but I know a lot about it. I'll be waiting for Naoto to show up for a bit, but so far I'm happy with the first episode. Now I'm not sure if Persona 4 the Animation was as bad as people say it was, but this one same pretty cool so far.

So that NG+ Narukami(Lv99 Izanagi) running on very hard(that swarm of shadows) + choosing different choices than the original will make summer interesting. Is it possible that they will make this romance/lovers with Marie?


Hmm... it seems next is a fast forward.

The skip function was a godsend. Also, I'm really hoping they ship P4 protag with Marie for she is the true heroine above all P4 heroines.
