Barefoot Gen - 8/10

Merciless movie about the aftermath of the Little Boy.

First episode of the following shows:

Hoozuki no Reitetsu - Dropped

Hamatora The Animation - Dropped

Awful script, dull characters.

Nobunaga the Fool - Dropped

Namedropping the anime.

Witch Craft Works

Don't like the main heroine but I'll continue. The cat girl was way better btw.

Space☆Dandy

Loving it. Bebop with the goofy and fast action from Kill La Kill.

Nobunagun

A bit interesting. Will continue at least.

Chuunibyou demo Koi ga Shitai! Ren

Mindless comedy. meh.

Seitokai Yakuindomo*

Damn this looks good to be Seitokai. I bet their entire budget went to this episode. d*cks

Finished the Fall Season anime I was catching up with

Unbreakable Machine Doll 8/10:
Spoiler:
The dark horse I was rooting for. The characters are kind of a mixed bag, some that interested me didn't get enough screen time. Yaya is easily my favorite but the red horn goes without explanation. It turned into a quasi harem as well. I liked the fight scenes, the comedy was funny and I liked the anachronistic setting.

Kyoukai no Kanata 8/10:
Spoiler:
I still don't know why the moe aspect of this show scared people off, it's like going into and not expecting chocolate if you're thinking a KyoAni work isn't gonna be somewhat moe. I liked the story, the characters were decent albeit underdeveloped, the ending was kind of an asspull I liked the concept on this one as well

Monogatari Second Season 9/10:
Spoiler:
Improved some characters for me that I didn't really care for or flat out didn't like.
He happily walks into the sunset...NAW BITCH. I hear he just got a concussion in the LN though. MAYOOOOOOOOOOOI ;~;

Yozakura Quartet ~Hana no Uta~ 7/10:
Spoiler:
This one slowly grew on me. I was gonna drop it at first but the mood whiplash kept me interested. The characters are decent and the story, once it gets started, is somewhat interesting. I liked some of the fanservice, but at times I felt it was out of place (during a serious scene of peril was it the time for a pantyshot?) The ending was anti-climactic and Akina being shown the demon world is really gonna bug me...I plan on reading the manga and watching the original anime that was panned.

Since everyone else is doing first impression ratings/reactions, why not?

Space Dandy 8/10 - A Funny gag anime which will probably have a silly nonsense plot(as far as the dub goes, I've yet to see the Japanese version)

Nobunaga the Fool 7/10 - Fuck Logic, I'm Magellan flying in space, there's mechs in middle age Japan, and Ley Lines in the skies!...what just happened? This anime is throwing logic out the window, no problem with it though.

Hamatora (not to be confused with Hamtaro) 7/10 - The first part of the case was a bit obvious, the sudden introduction of super powers was shaky

Noragami 8/10 - This, Chuuni-ren, and Space Dandy will probably be neck and neck as my AOTS. I like the concept the jokes are funny

Chuuni Ren 8/10 - Still funny and cute as I remember. How they're suddenly living together is a bit abrupt

Spoiler:
I want to see how Rikka's and Yuuta's relationship will go from here...

Super Robot Girls Z 7/10 - Cute short anime. Jokes were funny.

ImoCho 5(6 once it gets uncensored)/10 - Generic concept and the fanservice, this thing's saving grace was the only thing looking forward to. I'm putting this on hold until the BDs but I'll probably forget about it.

SoniAni 5/10 - What a cash-in. Rio Rainbow gate was already an example of why you shouldn't have an anime for a mascot. The life and times of a Mary Sue moeblob. The fanservice will be the only thing that will keep me coming back if I don't drop it.

Gravity cat the adequately amused
Danganropnpa: The animation. 8/10.

Spoiler:
Monobear is awesome and Kirigiri should have been the main character. Apparently the manga is better, but I put that down to squeezing 6 chapters of the manga into 13 episodes. Because of that I did feel each "case" was a little rushed and gave me no time to come to my own conclusions, and it kinda bugged me that blood was pink instead of red. Despite that though it doesn't make it any less watchable.

The Execution sequences are identical to their game counterparts, except obviously they're done in TV animation.

Fun fact: The VA of the main antagonist uses the same voice as she used in Doraemon, supposedly intended for creepy effect. It's the equivalent of Mickey Mouse telling you to murder someone.

Mahou Sensou - Dropped

Terrible tsundere heroine.

Nisekoi

Giving it the 3 ep rule to see if Shaft does anything with it.

Psycho-Pass: 10/10

Urobutcher delivered as always.

Well since I haven't seen any full shows recently, I'll just be rating these shows on first impressions:

Witch Craft Works ep. 1-2 (7/10!): I'm actually quite enjoying this show, can't wait to see how the next episodes will turn out.
-On a side note: I'm definitely not one for anime OP/EDs, but that ED is ridiculously catchy/addicting.

Mahou Sensou ep.1 (5/10): I don't know whether those "magicians" are retarded,Clumsy or just incompetent. How do they accidentally turn 3 humans into one of them, and also have one of them lose their powers(?) in one episode? The characters were also "ok" (except for the protagonist girl, she was meh at best..). Not giving up on this series just yet though.

Chuunibyou demo Koi ga Shitai! Ren ep.1 (6.5/10): Show was very pretty...

Strange Plus ep.1 (7.5/10!): about 3min. of "what the fuck...", but I found it to be pretty funny.

Super Sonico: The Animation ep.1-2 (4/10): This show just seems to be "The perfect little world/life of Sonico". Seems like the only purpose for this show was for the sake of merchandising. Seriously did this series really need to be a 20+min. show? I wish this show would at least be funny...
Dropped unless I don't have anything better to do next week.

Blood Lad 6/10

I watched it a while back but I couldn't give it a few words of review to it. Good shounen-ish show. Not enough character or plot development. Even though it was kind of bland, I didn't mind at all. Even though it's tried to ship characters, I can't really ship any because of the character designs.

Kyoukai no Kanata 7.5/10

6 is the best episode ever. Better than the end of the series.

Now with that established, I've been hearing a lot about this series. A lot of peeps liked it. I guess that's part of the reason why my expectations wasn't met. Trust me. It's quite a good series, trust me but something that bugged me a lot was that the plotholes were stuffed with the phrase "just because." Such and such has happened and this character is only one to solve it just because. Just because of this, it became a solution to that.

I know that didn't make much sense but that's how it is with KnK. It would have gotten a higher score if they fixed that.

I enjoyed the action and special effects a lot though. So yea, they got that going. Second season doesn't seem all that likely but hey KyoAni is really good at milking money so who knows? (I mean Tamako Market is getting a 2nd season for goodness sake)

Nyaruko 2nd Season 4/10

Nothing has changed from the first season. I was much disappointed.

Outbreak Company 7.8/10

This was a beautifully done series for a slice of life/ fantasy/ comedy. Even with very generic tropes in this series, I really didn't mind it at all because they really know how to use the tropes in their own fashion instead of c&p from other tropes into their own. Also, nerd fights are the best, which became a selling point for me.

[size=1]Valvrape[/h] Valvrave the Liberator 8.5/10

This series was actually a great original series coming from Sunrise other than the Gundam franchise. I absolutely loved it. The mechs, the action, the character interactions, the drama (I think I got too into it), the history (basically WWII). The first season was rather surprising to me but also distracted me with their massive plotholes. However, the second season. Oh my the second season was magnificent. Not only did they filled up all the plotholes very nicely, they progressed the storyline even further. This is a series that definitely needs more attention (moreso on the 2nd season not the first).

Highschool DxD: 7.5/10

I ENJOYED THIS SERIES WAY TOO FUCKING MUCH. ;-; WHY?! WHHHHYYY?! This became one the new addition of my list of guilty pleasures and the best one so far (Come on, Mayo Chiki 2nd season that's never gonna happen). But it's nice that they focused a lot of attention to the plot and well....more plot. Actions scenes are well executed for TNK to produce. Either way, I'm gonna get myself fucked over in the 3rd season. ....God damn it all.

Sword art Online Extra edition - Fuck this shit/10

I can't even...-sigh- No. I'm outta here. Even the swimsuit designs were completely half-assed and that was all I watch this for. I'm done. Bye. -drives away and sees SAO II Coming in 2014 billboard- ....Fawk.

Steins; Gate the Movie 7/10

I really wanted to watch it because it's freakin Steins;Gate on the best shows out there. But this movie somewhat fails to deliver the Steins; Gate material that I've been craving for a long time. Although, I do give it props interweaving time-traveling and multi-universe theories back into it.

Fate/kaleid liner Prisma☆Illya 6/10 (8/10 for the episode 6 only)

Type-Moon fans, sure I guess? Illya fans, this is a must watch. 6 words for this series.

LOLI LESBIANS WITH MAGIC AND SHIT.

If anything, this series was only the recent mahou shoujo shows that actually went through with the trope of : FOR THE SAKE OF FRIENDSHIP, LOVE, COURAGE, AND MAGIC. Tee☆hee!

Not turn off by that but not really fond of it either.

Non Non Biyori 9-10(relaxing, fun to watch, the best music I have ever heard in an anime)

Aoi Sekai no Chuushin de Hitler-10(worst anime i have ever watched, incredibly bad characters, badly developed story, unfunny jokes, and many more)

Finally watched Monogatari Second Season... 10/10. I knew it was gonna be good, but holy shit.

Coppelion: 7/10
Even now I'm not exactly sure what I was hoping for, but I wish they made post-nuclear waste Japan a little more interesting than the approach the series took. But I give it props for being sort of realistic. Things were really spiced up by the battles between the Medical Unit and the Ozu Sisters, and when they joined up with Haruto (unnfff). So yeah, it wasn't bad. But it wasn't as spectacular as I was hoping.

Little Busters! Refrain: 10/10
okay here we go
As someone who has not played the VN, I had no idea what was going to happen. Presumably something sad. There was a lot of confusing loose ends between the beginning of this season and last season, and the fact that they managed to wrap it up so well impressed me. And it was, like, really fucking sad. I tell people all the time that, if a series can make me genuinely depressed/anxious after every episode, I couldn't ask for anything more. I love emotional anime, and really strive for shows that reduce me to a disgusting, sobby mess.
But I think one of my favorite things about this series was how well it strayed from being a harem anime. Calling it a harem is a total stretch, and definitely does not give the same kind of "tug-of-war" feeling Clannad or Kanon did in the romance department. Even at the end, Riki didn't actually make lip contact with Rin. There was no heavy romance at all, and as much as I like KEY for their romance elements, it was so refreshing and I'm glad it ended the way it did.
tl;dr stick through the first season to get to Refrain, it's worth it. And I'll probably go download the VN at some point.

Cencoroll - 9/10

Just watch it.
