which anime would make a good live action series?

I love watching anime and I love shows like Law and Order and Heroes. Wouldn't it be beautiful if these worlds collided? If i were to pick an anime to be made into and live action series,I think Monster would be my pick with Steven Spielberg as director. I've seen a couple of animes make the transition from animation to live action , but i still haven't seen any that has done them justice i.e. Salior Moon. But there are some decent ones i guess, i.e. The Guiver/Guiver movie. Death Note may be the only anime that has made the best transition from anime to live action to date ( to bad its more like a movie then actual series).

If a anime is ever to become a decent/good live-action movie, it has to be easy to make and has to have a good story to it. So I say Kanon and Clannad has some good potential to become great live action movies.

I don't really like the whole make this form of media into this form of media trend, so I say none.

I think the best one I've seen was Nodame Cantabile. Although, that was a TV series and not a movie...

Monster is being made into a LA American movie, last I heard. 20th Century Boys was made into a Japanese LA movie as well.

Higurashi was made into a LA movie recently as well...not sure how well they did though...

LA movies I'd like to see made would be Kite/Mezzo Forte movie. I think those would translate well...

But what about the Pornographic scenes? They can't leave that out, I won't allow them.

Hmm, I agree with Anime_Haze because Blue Gender does seem like a good idea for a live action movie. The storyline probably would be pretty good and the characters don't look too complex. Bringing them to life could be pretty cool and easy. Most of the anime I've seen have characters that might be hard to make look real.

One suggestion of mine though is Samurai Champloo.

Then again <_< maybe not.

Oh, no problem whatsoever. You're right, it would be pretty tough getting a decent story to fit in just three hours and I'm not even so sure if Jin and Mugen's appearances would be easy to perfect. Maybe.

*Sigh* I don't see why people don't think turning anime into a movie is such a bad thing. If in the hands of a right director, it can be good. Look at Batman after one of the best critics said it was NEVER going to be a success. And the reason for writers doing that is because it's more of a fad than running out of ideas lately. Turning something thats drawn into a movie for more realism.

The only one I could think of standing as a real life movie would be pretty much Ghost in the Shell, and even than I would most likely be disappointed. The fact that annoys me about modern editors and writers is that they have a snatch to over-romance everything. That's one of the reasons I rarely watch movies these days.
