Just to clarify, I don't really go to Day 0 but it is just to get the bar codes early, right?

pretty much, and to take pictures and meet up with ppl you may know etc. If you like taking pictures of cosplayers day 0 is a must essentially, because some ppl(usually the hardcore cosplayers) have a different costume for each day, day 0 included. However, going just for that isn't enough to get me there. So I'll just show up early Day 1 and still have time to spare before the exhibit hall opens.
