RIP all conventions this year.
Personally was looking forward to seeing some friends of mine at Otakon. What are all y'alls plans now that conventions 2020 was canceled? I think I'll spend that money on my light novel collection.
I was actually thinking of finally going to one this year (not great with crowds) maybe they will do virtual conventions if this keeps going on.
Comiket was my last one. Pretty sad that they have been cancelled for the time-being, but it's understandable and the best thing to do. I'll attend the next open one though.
AX was my big(and only) con for this year. Wouldve been nice to hang out with friends and attend panels of my favorite studios. Oh well.
As for merch I was just gonna grab the fakku books on my wanted list. I can easily order them online, which I already did.
Yep no Anime North or Fan Expo, though Fan Expo is supposedly happening in November with a limited attendance count.. so I purchased my ticket a month and some ago.
Same as you OP. Usually went to my local con, but now that money is for furthering this interest.
Any word if conventions are coming back this year?
I sure hope so. A concert I've been meaning to go to was pushed back...
There was a convention my brother and I went to that had a ton of good JP stuff and a complete floor full of JP Arcade machines. Seriously miss it all...
