FAKKU Points (FAP)

Along with Tasks, we will be adding a point system to FAKKU (codenamed FAP).

We don't have anything to reveal about how to spend the points or how much you get for completing these first tasks, but all tasks you complete from now until the point launch will be recorded and added to your point total once FAKKU Points goes live.

Any ideas for more tasks and rewards? Posting on the forums? Uploading an avatar?

Following up on another post in this thread, you can now convert existing comments into 5-star reviews (and receive credit for completing the task).

Um... Why not we earn by buying stuff...?

As previously noted, a loyalty system for purchases would be pretty greatly appreciated. It may also bring some of those amazing figures closer to the realm of 'purchasable' for those of us on a semi-limited budget.

Forum participation, poll participation; these seem like quick and easy point generating options.

A trivial amount of points being added for the sake of, say, daily login rewards or re-reading doujin/manga previously read, or just reading new ones, could be a decent way to monitor engagement. It also may not skew the values too badly if, as previously mentioned, it were a truly trivial number of points; taking a few cents off an order for a regular reader might entice somebody to spend on a book they wouldn't otherwise.

Good ideas! Definitely, purchasing items will give you points.

It says I don't have any tasks. How will I know what to do between now and release?

The first tasks are related to leaving reviews on purchases, we are slowly sending out the tasks so users aren't overwhelmed with 6 years of them.

Once you get some, your notification count will increase to let you know.

What about some of the achievements giving points. Like buying a shirt, book founder, years active, the FAKKU verse etc. Also perhaps forum reputation?

Sadly, about 99.9% of the "reviews" I've seen so far have just been one sentence comments. Minimal effort for easy points.

Didn't even bother with replacing my short comments with reviews myself, didn't seem like a proper review to me.

Working on a quick feature that'll let you convert previous comments into reviews, so those of you that have been posting well thought-out comments this whole time can convert them to reviews (and complete the task). Also will be adding a minimum length for review text.

Glad to see a reward system. Hope we can earn points for anything we purchase including merch

Would alos be nice to earn points for loyalty, such as being a Fakku member for so many years or such. And maybe some bonus point promotions during sales.

Would we be able to put these points to any purchases whether they are digital doujinshi or paperback copies?

Does reviews and comments support "spoiler alert"?

Good call on the spoiler alert. I wanted to give more detailed reviews but I also wanted to avoid spoilers as much as possible. I'm excited for reviews to become more of a thing because some times I want to buy a doujin but I'm unsure of the content.

I do like the ideas for forum engagement. I have posted a couple times without much response, so I stopped. It would be nice to have a more engaging community outside of discord.
