Noelle Does Her Best! Gamebreaking bug due to missing png?

So I picked up the game, installed it, went the photographer route and was met with a missing png error in-game.
The problem is the game keeps trying to reload the missing file while also still playing out the scripted event - by the end you're still hit with the "retry" button from the missing png prompt but you also cannot leave the Photographer's house or open the game menu or you'll be met with a "Now Loading..." prompt that p much bricks the game.
I uninstalled it, reinstalled it and was met with the same error.
Went to the store page and read the reviews - about 4 people reported the same thing.
(I will say aside from that the other 2 routes available at the start seem to work fine - the sprite art/animation is great.)
Just wanted to bring it up to whichever staff browses this portion of the forums.
