It seems that Illusion was planning on releasing an English version of Koikatsu on Steam, but it was banned...I really wish Illusion would consider releasing their games on platforms other than Steam. I'm not a fan of Steam because I abhor DRM, and I'm also not a fan of Steam's inconsistent policies on what games can be released on their platform. I'd really like Koikatsu to be released on Fakku instead.

The website went up a few days ago. Don't know if they're still working with Nutaku, as was announced almost a year ago.

Also just a heads up, but not sure if this is the 'all ages' Custom Maid 3D2 version of the game that's been announced. Unfortunately the website doesn't include anything that makes me think of lewd content, and the intro blog post doesn't mention anything about adult material under the options list. And since the titles on the website and news article match, I'm afraid this is not the droid we're looking for.

Koikatsu Party is now available on Steam.NOTE: The version on Steam is a stripped down version of Koikatsu. Steam required them to strip out story and school dating sim parts of the game. BUT there's a patch from Illusion to RESTORE the missing content.

@Fakku staff can you give us any information whether or not not a Fakku release of Koikatsu Party is possible in the future?

Except the Steam version has neither. You can launch the game on its own through the install folder and it'll launch without Steam. You can also copy the directory out somewhere if you don't want it being shown as installed on Steam, so there's no DRM active either.
The special patch is basically just like Honey Select's patches or just unzipping files over the originals, and you can grab that directly from Illusion.
The only major issue right now is the severe lack of content compared to the original JP version, much like Fakku's release of Honey Select Unlimited before Extend became available.
EDIT: Oh yeah, and CharaStudio is missing too, which really sucks if you just want some sandbox posing mode.
