so i been scanning the pages on here, and still not getting the full story on what the fuck is going on, from what i can tell, exhentia got some kind of remove content shit order from jacob, and there now pissed, most likely the facts i got are all fucked up, some one just give me the run down -_-

-Wanimagazine has been sending DMCA to many websites
-Fakku also received the same take down notice in early april.
-After that Jacob managed to make a deal with Wani for publishing rights
-A time earlier before the massive content removal, Jacob sent an email to exhentai to include Fakku Books releases in the "prohibited content", which is like how there's no Linda tankoubouns and HCGs from Lilith
-Close to that, exhentai removed their content because of the take down notice
-/a/ went crazy and tried to find a scapegoat
-they chose Jacob, because he's closer and more vulnerable.

So, Jacob did not send a take down, but more of a preventive measure for the future releases of FAkku Books.

Simple enough, makes sense

And that would be fucking disasterous. Yeah sure why not, draw more attention to the community. That has never come back to bite someone in the ass ever before, ever. Also if more people got into this deal then you lot would be the ones gaining from it. Why should I, or anyone else for that matter, take your word on matters of moral integrity when you've clearly shown that you have none whatsoever?
Meanwhile the rest of us take the fall and have to kiss all our porn goodbye, while you rake in.

So, from what you're saying, making a deal to attempt to further the industry/ keep certain artists work out there for people to get (in the western world) is unethical and immoral. When stealing, and halting developement in the western (as well as the home) world, is ethical and moral?

Might want to lay off the crack. Your views are backwards and wrong.

You fail to understand how Japan views the rest of the world at its most fundamental. They don't give a shit about foreign markets for the most part, they give a shit about the market being available to their local customers at a lower price, or no price at all.
Why do you think crunchyroll isn't available in Japan? To further the development of the medium and gain support? No, they don't want Japanese fans to get their hands on what they're selling elsewhere, but much cheaper.
It was the same deal with the Gundam UC BDs. Also by pouring money into Fakku's gaping maw who do you think ultimately stands to gain the most from this deal?
You don't honestly think that the people here are going to sit down and start donating their precious time expecting nothing in return, do you?

Wani's artists weren't even aware of this deal, what makes you think that they're going to earn any notable sum from this? It's the same deal with crunchyroll and all other overseas distributors. You'd have to be a fool to think that you're actually contributing, rather than just stroking your own ego and thinking that you have some sort of moral high ground.

I have been avoiding this thread up until now, but no more! Your stupidity has drawn me here because your posts are bringing down the overall intelligence of this particular forum (which is already pretty low). You have made statements claiming that you know how the industry works, you know what motivates the companies in Japan, and you somehow know the intricate details of our partnership with Wani. But after reading through your posts it is clear you don’t know about any of those things, so I’ll do my best to educate.

Our deal with Wani benefits both Wani and the artists, the artists get their own cut of everything. We wouldn't have entered into this partnership if the artists weren't benefiting from it. Every book we publish is signed off by that particular artist. Furthermore, our relationship is so close that we are able to release exclusive merchandise for FAKKU that you can’t get anywhere else in the world (similar to how an artist releases exclusive merchandise for a particular store in Japan).

Now unlike you (feel free to correct me if I’m wrong on this), I have met with many of the publishers in Japan and I know what motivates them and what their goals are. They want the market to grow. When the market grows they sell more books, when they sell more books the artists make more money, when the artists make more money they draw more hentai, and when the artists draw hentai we all get to masturbate! Do you see the trend here? It’s a positive one. This is how business works and that is what I want to accomplish with FAKKU.

Now all of your posts in this topic lacked a basic knowledge of how the industry works, but this one most of all. Crunchyroll doesn't have the distribution rights to broadcast or sell anime in Japan, the Japanese companies retain those rights (as they should). That’s the only reason Crunchyroll doesn’t show the same titles in the United States that they show in Japan, or else they would. The Japanese companies decide how they want to distribute the content given the market conditions in Japan, which are very different from the rest of the world.

Now the reason FAKKU releases will not be available in Japan is entirely different than Crunchyroll, our releases are uncensored. Uncensored pornography is illegal in Japan and if it were made available there people would get arrested. That's one of the many reasons why our releases are going to be so awesome, no one has ever seen them uncensored other than the original artist!

Also I am locking this topic because I am a huge jerk.
