[Locked] Japan banned from FAKKU

The DMCAs started before the deal between Fakku and Wani, for one.
For another, how exactly do you expect Fakku to publish the full catalog right off the bat? Not like Wani published all their stuff in a single day, either.

I found out I was wrong about Jacon sending a Cease and Desist to panda.

Instead, He sent a request to Tenboro to put panda on the DNP list. Which isn't the same as a Cease and Desist obviously.

Not that it mattered... Tenboro rejected it.


And when I said Fakku won't sell most of it. I mean Fakku got rights to Wani's loli and shota content but refused to sell them.

The issue may not be Fakku. Even if Fakku could do it legally, a ton of US states won't allow Japan to send loli shit in. So Fakku's free of that fault at least.

And since this as good a place as any for this: If you're pissed about whatever actions Fakku has taken in the course of publishing Wani stuff, consider the fact that currently Japan is pretty much the only big source of hentai. Meaning if the Japanese hentai scene were to go belly up, that'd be that. If you remember the sudden influx of lightsaber censorship some time ago, you should know how reliant the industry is on the whims of some Japanese police officers and politicians.

Meanwhile, the western commercial hentai industry is really small.
Given these two facts, you should be happy about anything that could change that.
If Fakku selling hentai turns out to be a huge success, we'll see more western artists doing commercial releases and eventually the western hentai industry may become big enough that Japanese laws won't pose much of a problem anymore.

In light of this, anything you could possibly be pissed off about here seems like a really trivial matter to me.

Getting the industry bigger here could be nice. Though the real thing we need, is a bypass.

Fakku's selling point is that they have obtained some of Wani's artists' original uncensored versions of some works. Before censorship was even applied.

This is how uncensored JAVs and hentai anime were a thing. (Until a ton of Japan's anime studios suddenly decided to stop licensing to outside companies)

So in a way, I guess I see it that way now. How Fakku can potentially nullify the need to have to photoshop everyone's genitals on manga.


The rest is up to Japan. If not for their censorship laws, we could just bypass Fakku and buy uncensored stuff from Wani directly for less money.

Key word there is a "few". It didn't blow up at all. So I have little expectation that western hentai will do as well as where it originated.

Oh yes for final clarification on the Japanese block.

When you say the Japanese government has blocked FAKKU, I am assuming this means that Fakku is blocking Japanese IPs at the request of the government.

Because Japan itself is allowing FAKKU visitation no problem. Fakku itself is intercepting.
