No... its too much. Never gonna delete my collection. A shame it only goes back to the beginning of 2017. My collection used to go back all the way from 2013, but a lot of em were lost due to hard drive failures and accidental deletions.



Think of it this way. Imagine if a website like Youtube suddenly gets a shut-down notice in 12 hours. Not enough time to archive and back up all those videos. This is whats happening to exh. Not only did it host the usual hentai, but it also hosted non-h works, deleted pixiv galleries, old-ass-fuck doujins, and CG art from old games that goes way back ever before the 90s as well as browser games that are gone from the internet.


The worst part is that its the best site to get the latest doujins, mangas, or CG collections untranslated and raw ready to be translated.


Horrible timing too, because the upcoming comiket is coming up this August.

I feel bad for the people who didn't get a chance to back anything up.

This topic is skirting very close to what's acceptable. I'll allow it as long as the discussion is limited to the site shutting down, but any talk about where to find rips, alternatives, and so on will not be tolerated. Just use common sense:

Imagine discussing a piracy site for games on Steam or one for anime on Crunchyroll. If you comment would get you in trouble there, don't make it here.

Man, if I could buy legally like half of the stuff in my favorites I would.

So many artbooks or parody works that could never be sold legally because of copyright laws. Sometimes the artist just kinda abandons their works and won't or can't reprint.

I know someone backed up the entire site but just all those organized favorites gone kinda sucks.

I'd say it's a good thing it's gone. I can't imagine every single person who uses such a site to buy every release they like legally on Japanese sites when they have soooo much "free stuff"...

the 40 tb image is fake unfortunately. Though there are still accounts that has access to all the content from exh so someone else might back everything up.

I don't think it's a net good that this particular site is gone. If a certain other, more popular pirate hentai site was gone, that would be very good. sadpanda was nonprofit and, notably, seemed to cooperate in removing a lot of content that was licensed in the west. Scum like that "N" site that are out to make money for themselves without a penny going to artists and scanlators deserve to be taken down. What exh was doing is illegal under current law, and the creators deserve to get paid, but destroying an archive of decades of art like that, some of it existing literally nowhere else, does more harm than good for society.
