If she likes me more and would be happier with me—even if they were going steady—do you still think she should stay with him? Why? Because he'll have his heart broken? She has the ability as an individual to choose her own boyfriend, and I believe that people should put their own happiness before the happiness of others, if you don't, you just end up getting used. I like her and she made it pretty clear yesterday that she likes me too, so I'm going to give her the option of being with me instead. You'll never know what can happen if you don't go out there and give it a shot.

I wouldn't condemn your action(in fact I would applaud you were your drive sufficient) I simply think it's unfortunate that someone had to be stepped on to get there. I was just hoping that it wouldn't have to come to actually breaking a relationship to get where you want to be and that it was a joke.

However I think that putting your happiness over others in most cases is wrong, since constantly seeking your own happiness over others will only surround you in misery or make you a person that abuses kindness. Only when necessary.

Even so, the first time is always the hardest if you did get rejected, if you don't then you are truly the Alpha Male.

You seem to be implying that I have no care for the happiness of others, I don't believe I ever stated as such. I help other people when I can, but again, if someone is in the way of my own happiness then I'm not going to step aside. I get what I want.
