Zombie Apocalypse...
However, only in the country where you located (sucks to be in the middle of India or China at this event) so that means, you have to get out of there by any means necessary (lucky for you if you live near a border).

Conditions:
1. Your spawn location is at your home (yup, that's where you currently live) and you are alone. (If you live in a military barracks... well , have fun).

2. Your starting items are the items that you have at home (If you are in Canada, chances are you don't have a gun hehehe) so keep in mind the population of where you are exactly at the moment.

3. You can only carry/use items that you can carry/use in real life (so you can't carry 10,000 AK-47 ammunition in your backpack and drive a chopper if you can't)

4. Zombies can run, but the virus can only infect humans (so no Resident Evil zombie dogs, birds, cats or more horrifyingly... squirrels)

So, what are you bringing?
Where are you first going?
What are your strategies to survive and get out of your country?

NOTE: Don't forget, most foods and medicines have expiration dates on them.
Edit: If you live in a condo or apartment building, that means you are alone in your room, but not in the entire building (so good luck if you live in the top floor)[/h]

This could be an RP...

#1 priority. Find FPSRussia.

On a serious note I would track down my buddy Mark. He made his own Zombie Apocalypse handbook. He knows whats up.

Is this an RP? Or just a "what if something like that really happened?" thread?

Either way, I was planning a Zombie Apocalypse RP, but it's okay I guess. Hopefully you'll succeed.

I'm fucked if I can't construct a home-made flamethrower.

For me, a good idea would be to travel to Dover, the closest place in my area with access to international waters. If the trains were out of service I would have to contact one of my friends who can drive, pick up any of my other friends who are still alive, we'd all travel to Dover, hop on a ferry and move to France.

Considering I have an Gator in my garage, supplies are not going to be a problem so:

1 22 caliber rifle
2 cases of .22LR rounds each case has 10 boxes with 525 rounds per box
1 9mm Beretta
10 boxes 9mm FMJ ammo 50 rounds per box
5 gallons of water
25 gallons of Gasoline(5 5 gallon tanks)
a case of protein bars
5 Sterno cans
4 boxes of matches
A dynamo Radio and a dynamo Flashlight(Those things you have to wind up to build up an electric charge to run means no need for batteries)

Small assortment of medical supplies:
- aspirin
- bandages
- iodine
- ect

This is basic supplies, seeing as my gator get's roughly 25 miles to the gallon, over rough terrain, and a full tank, of gasoline to start, I have enough fuel to get roughly 750 miles in prime conditions but more realistically as I would stay away from roads and urban environments as much as possible I've got 500 miles before I'm out of gas. So even in my current location I'll end up roughly within 50 miles from a border crossing with the amount of fuel I have, in a period of about 2 and half days.

Edit:

Looking for the closes land border crossing it is 1 day's travel and 400 miles roughly. I'd have plenty of fuel to get me to the border.

It's been three days since that disease hit the news, I wonder what's up with all the hush hush. Details are scarce and it seems they won't show what little footage they have yet. I don't really care about another swine flu scare, I wish they'd stop showing nothing and at least cover some political bullshit some where.

+1 week. Some bastard little shit tried biting me while I was checking out my lunch and drink, I just pushed him over with my foot, payed for my shit and got out; I don't want to deal with some raving bitch who can't watch her stupid child. He looked a little pale to me, may have been feverish. Poor kid, hope someone is taking care of him. Maybe I should have left some money for flu meds or something, and a note.

+3 days. I've only left the house to see family or friends for lunch, but after the supposed leaked footage of an incident in Oklahoma, I'm iffy about getting out more than I have been. They say it's just a flu: fevers, sweats, maybe tossing in your sleep and achy bodies in the morning. I can't say I'm entirely convinced, the worst of what was leaked was someone thrashing pretty hard, obviously delusional. Begging for the end, crying out in pain; it was pretty graphic. It looked like someone was trying to escape and had to be tethered down. What ever, out of sight, out of mind. The games on tonight.

I live in Australia, so I'm surrounded with waters.
The first place to go for me is Bunnings Warehouse, I will get myself a chain saw and nail gun.
I would raid police station to get guns just in case.
Steal a car and go to a faraway place where there will be no people around, preferably hills with spring water.

PS: Don't forget canned food! Raid the supermarket!!

I'm on the top floor in an apartment building, but I am pretty fit. I know I can climb down the building. But it's snowing, so I have the advantage of moving freely.

First I'll bring with me a long stick and a knife. Since I'm in the north, I'm packing some winter clothing with me. A couple of power bars (4x) and a bottle of water. I'm heading further north, because zombies can't move well in the cold.

I'm not getting out of the country. If it is an apocalypse, chances are every country is infested. America is the best place to be, with the best foods, fat american zombies, and a shitload of firearms.

Come at me zombie motherfuckers!

This is more of like a "what if" situation.
Mostly, because I had this topic with my friends the night before I made this thread. (Most of them are girls and they have really interesting answers).

well considering where i live (Canada, but pretty much in the boonies) I don't have to worry about being overran. Just grab my battleaxe that i made, and I live right beside a gas station, and have a garage full of mechanical equipment, i should do pretty well.

So in summery i would, just bunker down for a few months, and then once everything is settled down, i'd just drive down to the border in peace.

Going to my uncles place, he's got a pond for a water source and fish, he has a cabin out in the woods with a wood fireplace and plenty of deer to hunt.

If the disaster lasts longer than a year. I'd go south where it's warmer and avoid another cold winter.

I live in Philadelphia.

I would bring a flashlight, enough food to bring in one backpack, and any item that can be counted as a ranged weapon (e.g. a bat, a pole, something light and with decent range).

First priority is to go to the police station for weapons.

To escape the country I would wait one week on top of rooftops and barricade myself in, sneaking out whenever I need food. This is to wait for rescue teams from other countries. If one week has passed I would first place an indicator where I was originally, then leave a message of where I'm bound to go. After that I would secure a heavy-vehicle and travel toward north-eastern Canada while scavenging supplies along the way.

Newfoundland Canada is a big port that I could use to escape the continent if need be.

I currently live in Canada. (And I don't need a gun.)
Luckily I live on the outskirts of a medium sized town. And there's a gas station right down the road. I'd get my leather jacket, boots, and a good pair of jeans on. Then grab my back pack and throw in a crowbar, hunting knife, zombie survival guide, canteen of water, campus, map, matches, some beef jerky, a couple cans of food, rope, and the container-things[/h] for gas. Throw on my backpack, grab my machete, tie up the containers to my motorcycle and drive to the gas station. Fill 'em up and drive off into the country side to hide out. If I find a pretty good hiding stop out of reach I'll build camp and search threw near by towns/houses for more supplies. But I'll read up on that stuff once I find a safe place to stop.

I live in NYC so the first thing I need to do is get my bf and his best friend who are better at fighting and zombie stuff then me.
Weapons: my swords that I hide in my room, my bat, a hammer, screwdriver, and duct tape
Food: water bottles, canned food, energy bars
Medicine: medicine, bandages, alcohol.

Jack a car and go to Canada for a while.
