Living in a place where I hear a lot of accents made me really used to it. Although I do like it because it shows how much variety there can be in languages and the world that we live in, I can't say that I haven't formed favorites and not so favorites.

Among all the accents you've ever heard, what is your most favorite and what do like the least?
It's up to you if you wanna add why.

I'd probably say that my most favorite is Welsh Accent, followed by Cajun French and Southern American accent.

On the other hand, my least favorite is Filipino accent (I think the Spanish one is also like this) mostly because of the "th" and "i/ee-ea" problem. In my experience, all Filipinos that I meet/see/hear can speak English (which is nice) but they either have a general American accent or one that is well... Filipino.

In Filipino accent, it gets confusing when they try to say words that have th and i/ee-ea.
For Example:
Death - Debt , Sheet - Shit , Beach - Bitch, Sheep - Ship
I don't really mind but it gets tricky in some sentences, like "The number one cause of death/debt in Canada is..."
Thus, making it my least favorite.

NOTE: By the way, I have more than a dozen (dozen=12) Filipino friends, so I know what I'm saying and not just being a racist or troll.

Favourite - Australian(Jelly, Mate)
Hate - Korean(Sound like they're constantly having an asthma attack when speaking English.

Hhhhhhhnnnnnnnnggggggg, Laura...

Anyways, my favorites are british, australian, russian, canadian, and spanish.
I don't really fancy haitian, italian, or chinese, and super southern accents. It just sounds a little too rough for me

Yay accents thread! I fancy the British accent mainly. After that probably Spanish.
Least favorite would have to be Indian.

Edit: I forgot about the French accent. It's also one of my favorites.

Not all Filipino speaks like that... A shit is pronounced faster than Sheet. as well as Bitch to Beach, and Ship to Sheep...
Maybe you heard a dozen of Filipino sounds like that, but not all.
And also, Philippines is not an English based country. We have our own vernacular called "Filipino or Tagalog", we have to study english from pre-school up to college to be a professional English communicators.
=)Still, I commend you for having such Friendship with my countrymen =)

My favorite accents are Southern, Spanish, and French
Lesser favorites are... I don't really have one, I just don't like when someone has such a thick accent that I can't understand them. It makes me feel bad when I have to ask them to repeat something a couple of times or if I have them as a teacher.

I'm not a fan of the Indian accents because I find them difficult to understand, especially when trying to call a customer support line.

I guess I'd say ladies with English accents are rather fancy and smexy.

I wonder, do you Englishman/woman know you sound so damn fancy?

I love British accents! :3 There's this lady who works at a pet shop near my place, and every time my husband and I go there, I talk to her because I just like hearing her speak. x3

I hate the valley girl/surfer accent. For some reason, where I live, I hear quite a few people with it, and it annoys me to no end....

Well as far as english accents the worst for me would have to be french or any asian country, italians are also quite annoying.
