I've played a few, but my favorites out of those would be Koihime Musou, then Soul Link.

My count would most probably triple if I was fluent in japanese, right now I'm just juggling between learning the language and being a yandere stalker on the translators site.

--> Grisaia no kajitsu, I've been looking forward to the translation of the next ones. Loved Amane's route, I still have to finish the others' routes
--> Katawa shoujo - My humble start in visual novels
--> G-senjou no Maou - The best i've read so far. Haru's route is one hell of a story, the other ones, well, didn't like them as much, but they are still good.
--> Majikoi - Damn is this game long, but oh so worth it. Personally there's no one like Yukie, but I was surprised that I liked others too like Momoyo, Chris, and Wanko :3 I sure want the next one to be translated it's just so fun!
- I've played a little of Cross Channel and Comyu but stopped when I didn't understand what the hell was going on haha
--> If my heart had wings - Regular, I liked Amane, but the story was kinda boring for me.

I'm becoming a big fan of visual novels, but I have trouble because I don't know japanese and have to wait for them to be translated. One example is that Im waiting for the next Grisaia and Majikoi, but also Kiss Ato.

Been Reading/Playing Vns for about five or more years I would have to say my favorite is the Rance series. (But I am a sucker for Duel Savior and Koihime Musou)

Yamato The Tactician
I have played four but my Waifu's route isn't translated in either :(. As for the amount on my Laptop probably 10+ I seriously need to get around to Fate and all the others I have.
1. Maji de watashi Ni koi Shinasai (Miyako the cuckoo will sing eventually!)
2. Maji de watashi Ni koi Shinasai S (Same as before)
3. Maji de watashi Ni koi Shinasai A-1
4. G-Senjou no Maou

Never played any visual novel games before but I've read many of the books. But the most hilarious thing is that my group had created a visual novel like game for one of our projects.

Can't get enough of them, but I find it hard to get started a lot of the time. I'd say I've read 10-15. Currently reading Cross Channel.

EDIT: did anyone else find it very difficult to get into ever17? I've already had it spoiled, and when I read the first ~5 hours it was more confusing/random than Ageha route of Konosora (if my heart had wings)

I've probably played around 15, completed about half an have a stash of 10 other VNs which are on my list to play after exams. Most notable ones which I liked were Fate Stay Night, G-Senjou no Maou, Kamidori, Grisaia no Kaijitsu and Sharin no Kuni. I'm looking forward to the complete translation of Fate Hollow/Ataraxia and translations of the other Grisaia VNs which will take a while since their kickstarter hasn't even bloody started yet :L

Oh right, Imouto Paradise and the Monstergirl Quest Trilogy was pretty nice too. And Deardrops is next on my list after exams.

I have so many in my multiple 1TB harddrives, probably over 50+ translated and untranslated Visual Novels...

If you ask me for recommendations you'd get probably multiple pages worth of text...I Absolutely love Visual Novels and I hope other people can enjoy it as well.

I've even collected some quotes from Visual Novels which used to be in my sig until sadpanda went down.

Heck, I can't bring myself to pick favourites, but one of those that sticks with my memory for a really long time would be Ever17. No H content, but an amazing story.

its exactly the same for me only i have 3/4 TB hdd's for visual novels and games, manga, anime, ect

Played I think I'm around like 16, actually finished at least one route of it's more like 5... wait no that's Eroges in general uuh, just visual novels :T... still over 6.

As for favorite while some might be considered well, more important in the grant scale of story and writing... I gotta go with Majikoi.

Definitely 6+ and the number keeps increasing

Dunno, do you count Ace attorney and layton as Visual novels ?

Same, do you count Rance games and Eushully games as Visuals novels ? (because they're mostly RPG...)

Same for Tears of tiara 1/2, Utawarerumono and others ?

If you mean Vn with only text, yeah i played a lot with Igurashi, Umineko, Saya no uta, Killer Queen, Ayakashibito, Monmousu quest, and others.
