Question about Japanese culture

-1
It seems like in most anime, manga's, hentai's everyone seems kind of really judgemental, like if a guy has blond hair he's shunned, rumors spread like fire on gasoline, etc, is some of this stuff true and really common or is this stuff I don't notice in my own culture as well. If so, can I have a small list of stuff in there is true in anime cultures.

in general, the motto of life in Japan is thus:

The nail that sticks out will be hammered down.

In general, yeah. Conformity and sticking to the norm is encouraged and the more different you try to be, the more negative attention you'll receive. Whether it is dyed hair, piercings, tattoos (well, these are a no for other reasons), or unusual behaviour, you can't do it without some negative repercussions. To an extent it will be exaggerated in the materials we read and in anime, but it will still have a greater impact than what you'll find back in North America.

Japan is fairly xenophobic, so they tend to shun out outsiders. Since stuff like blonde hair is not native to Japan, it's typically frowned upon.

However most of the world is judgmental, not just Japan. It's just a little bit worse there for certain things than others.

True.

In this culture (Japan) and most of those within south-east Asia, the balance is less settled on good/bad than order/chaos. Meaning, as long as you behave like the society expects from you, there's no harm. In order to achieve this "harmony", the better would be to behave like the majority.

It also cause some big problems like the ijime and such. Foreigners must adapt very quickly too. Being original is not forbidden, but you must do it when/where/how it is expected/allowed only.

Well, blond hair usually is associated with delinquency. In America it would be like saying people with tattoos are definitely bad guys. Lots of people can be judgmental, and it isn't just the Japanese. As much as people around the world, including Americans, want to think...there is a lot more judgmental behavior out there than you would like to believe.

And rumors spread like wildfire? Are you sure you aren't talking about humankind in general? I haven't seen a society yet where rumors DON'T spread like wildfire.

Edit: The problem isn't with countries but the fact that when somebody or something is in a situation where they are different or somewhat the odd one out, society ostracizes them. Look at Plato's Allegory of the Cave.

Generally blond meaning colored that way. Not a foreigner. A foreigner is just a foreigner.

Of course, it would be awkward if it was aimed at people not because of the hair style.

[color=#993300]I'm gonna be frank, everything you just said is generally true. As for why, I'm not in the mood to talk about right now. I'll do it tomorrow
