Went to work when today is technically my day off. The upside is I was allowed to go in casual clothes and I'm getting paid for it.
Reason I went in today was to help my boss and the temporary supervisor switch containers with another shop so both shops have their containers across the road, not a fucking mile away. Was a mutually beneficial arrangement, and we finished sooner than anticipated. Despite it being a physically demanding task, the cold weather prevented the usual back pain I get when standing up for long periods of time. Good thing I otherwise don't feel the cold, so that was good.
And I found a pair of gloves in storage which I wore to keep my hands warm. Even though I don't feel the cold, my hands do. I later bought them with staff discount. They were too amazing to pass up. Fuck yes.
