What did you learn today?

I learned that the Bible is an acronym that stands for: Basic instructions before leaving Earth.

It's Saturday.
My week-long holiday is almost over.
I need to sort my sleeping pattern out. I can't stay in this "Wake up at 1pm" malarky.

I learned the lead singer of Linkin Park committed suicide today. Damn shame...

I learned that walking up 193 steps all at once is murder.

For context, I walked up a spiral staircase with a friend/coworker in a London train station on our way to a Blink 182 concert because we figured the lifts would be packed. I stopped twice, first time was for a moment because I got a cramp in my calves, and the second time near the top when my heart was beating so hard I thought I was having a heart attack and needed to stop. By the time we got to the top I could feel my heart thumping through my chest, and was light headed and panting heavily for 10 minutes after. I did better than I thought I would considering how unfit I am. Did better than a thin girl we went past on the staircase at any rate.

I learned there was a black wall street in Oklahoma, but it got burned to the ground by white supremacists in 1921. It made me think that so long as the oppressor is in power, the oppressed can almost never make true progress.

Well, I suppose there's not much to do while climbing all that... besides dying that is.

I learned that "Adulting" is tough

Today I learned how to do a proper wide squat at the gym thanks to my friend!

I finally found out how "Yggdrasil" is pronounced. "Igdrasil".

I've been pronouncing it "Eeegdrasil".

One of my favourite songs from Xenoblade 2 is called Yggdrasil and decided to look it up once and for all.
