well..I don't play any pokemon games

I picked Gold and Sliver mostly cause that was the first one I ever played and it was a really great game. unfortunately after that all the others seemed to follow the same pattern just with different Pokemon so I mostly just quit. it was good the first time, but now its almost the same stuff over and over again.

hmmm i have played blue and yellow back then. I have specially got a game boy color for this . (I was 10) was a nice time x3 . recently I've found Moemon and this has prompted me to play leaf green (yes I know pretty much the same)

U didnt have Yellow up there >.< It was the best one with pikachu following u everywhere! But since it wasnt in the poll im going with gold/silver since it was the 1st to have 2 maps even though i hated the new pokemon...except heracross.... he is awessome

Red and blue defiantly, although the graphic improvements / camera angle & 3D elements with Black & White are awesome. Gamefreaks come a long way

[size=12]Generations that led up to Ruby/Saph. Anything after that is so-so. Though I'd say Ruby/Saph is my favorite. [/h]

Good poll! Making me even do my first post on fakku. I've played all 5 Generations (too bad there is no vote for "All Generations") and after a lot of thinking my favourite one was definetly the second with Gold, Silver and Crystal. The atmosphere when you witness the change of day and night ingame. Epic

Ah... pokemon, Red/blue with Missing No. with pokemon +100 lvl. Yellow with it's cute little Pickachu following you. OMG, then Gold/Silver where you can still go back to Kanto and fight RED!!!! Pokemon just went downhill from there though.

Red and blue because it was the only time I was literally able to catch em all. After that there were to many to catch. I still play all of them though.

I think the first generation was my favorite.

*huggles his Dragonite*

Then stupid third generation when they had to introduce Salamence. I don't care! Dragonite is still better! Keep your stupid statistics to yourself! >.>

Ooh, and playing the original Red/Blue/Yellow and using that glitch to get Mew. Haha, good times, good times.

I'd say Pokemon Red/Blue/Yellow. Why? I grew up playing the games and they where the best 1st generation ever :3

My favorite generation is Red/Blue. It got me into my love of Pokemon...and because of Gary Motherfucking Oak.

I absolutely loved red/blue back in the day but I voted for gold/silver because you could bring in the pokemon from the previous generation, there was just a lot more to see and explore and it just had so much more life to it (for its time) plus after you beat the elite four you could go and beat the previous 8 gym leaders then face off against Red which was just absolutely epic! 2nd gen was the last time I was able to complete the pokedex too

3rd gen was kinda interesting but what got me about that one was not being able to trade in my pokemon from the previous 2 gens. Heck as far as its concerned your pokemon from the previous 2 were dead. I did enjoy the whole secret base thing and making your friends scour the globe trying to find it lol

I loved the fire/leaf remake (mainly for nostalgia) but pearl was a bit of a let down and the pokemon in B/W don't all feel like pokemon if that makes any sense :P plus they removed the contest thing which was always a nice little distraction. What I really don't get though is you can only trade pokemon into b/w and once there you can't transfer them back into d/p

While this mainly all sounds negative about the newer stuff I have boughten White and so far I'm enjoying it. My only gripes is A) like I mentioned before with the pokemon not all feeling exactly like pokemon B) the absence of certain features and lastly C) I'm playing on my crappy old 1st gen DS so I can't use certain things like the infrared XD

I had to go with Gen 1. The nostalgia is strong on Blue.
