Forgetting to install anti-virus software and watched mass amounts of free porn.

And here comes the virus

I tried to download a lot of pirated games. Sometimes I succeeded, and other times I just downloaded like a single .exe file thinking it was legit and was gonna work. Ended up filling the PC with viruses. Yeah, I was a stupid kid back then.

I recently blew my main drive by hard booting while the computer was frozen or something. I never thought that could actually happen, but it did. Luckily it was just a small 120GB SSD though (it wasn't broken or anything, just had to format it)

My first PC caught a virus (I tired to instal a game via diskette and the AV warned me but I ignored it anyway - it was Norton Antivirus // yes I am an old stupid fuck) that made Windows 98 unbootable save through Safe mode, and locked the hard drive. Believing that the hard drive had a diskette-like switch, I flipped the power supply's voltage switch to 110V when it had 220V. All that within 2 hours after first powering it on.

Deleted PC OS (win 98), very stupid of me..

Downloading porn on limewire and breaking the computer in my room the day I got it. That was a fun one to explain.

I use to have one of those ultraweight laptops. (I believe it was the Toshiba Portege R500 ) And I opened it from the corner of the screen like I did with other laptops. The problem with this is the fact that the screen is so thin, one of the hinges broke cause it had less give than the screen could hold. Eventually I tore the screen off entirely and used it as a desktop.

It wasn't my computer, but it was pretty stupid.
A family member came over and let me play with their tablet (it was a very old thing, like an ancestor of tablets) and I went on a weird anime website, this strange warning popped up and since I didn't know english back then I just kept pressing 'yes'. Turns out I was sending trojan viruses to everyone of his work contacts.

Add an extra graphics card without checking if the power supply would be overloaded.
It exploded, destroying 2 sticks of 4GB DDR3, and essentially burning my i5-4670

Edit: another one, not my computer, but a wannabee computer-expert acquaintance installed ubuntu to show off and he always logged in as root.

Spoiler:
rm -r /home/root/*

Edit: added another one

For the first computer I ever built I installed my fan upside down and used a shit ton of thermal paste to connect the fan to the cpu. It still works now, but i'm worried it may overheat in the future because of this.
