A Planet of Control

World domination was an interesting thread but I thought it'd be interesting with a twist.

There are many issues messing with a pre-established system or set of systems. So what would you do with control over an entire planet?

With an assumption to kill some logistics, all converts made Earth side are able to be transported to one of our closer empty planets. Limiting labor to only those you can convince to come with you.

So what type of system would you set up? A latter-day striver for a eugenic paradise? A despot with unrivaled planetary control? A striving optimist for building a planet cored out to make an insane amount of living and work space?

A whole world, yours to build.

A catgirl/wolfgirl,foxgirl planet, just them and me as the only male. It could be achieved using eugenics, but I don't really care how it's done as long as it works.

I'll agree with you, but who would do all the labor? You wouldn't want to put your harem to work aside from "servicing" you. :lol:

It's a good point but that brings to mind a question. Is the harem in the research lab perfecting themselves to your liking? That's pretty hardcore devotion. With that much dedication having them research and develop robot labor forces doesn't sound that far off. Though I'm not sure what you'd make the robots out of, I'm unaware of the resources or the access available planetside.



Is it a world of polka? If so grab the beer, it's time for Oktoberfest! But seriously, is polka really in the allowed genre listing? I think it's probably simpler just to list what is allowed rather than the banned, makes for a smaller list.

I'd like to be set in a conglomerate world of Robotech, DC, Marvel, and a few other comics and manga, as well as Stargate, that way it's not as boring, stuff is happening everywhere, admittedly there would be way less humans, but meh a lower population is a good thing to some extent(don't really want to discuss the implications of a lower population here, if I did I would have built this world more carefully) then again if the Zentraedi armada were to show up on Superman's doorstep I'm sure he would crack more than a few ships in two.

i did like weird al yankovic's take on polka though, seems to be entertaining...

anyway...i guess making a list of music to be allowed does make sense, but there arent really that many genres that piss me off, besides banning sth has a nicer ring to it.

Anyway, I'd ban windows, have a personal harem of robots, catgirls, foxgirls, wolfgirls and tsundere, and a workforce consisting only of lollies. They probably won't do much of a good job, but they'll look damn cute while doing it! I will also ban all religions, except for the one based on worshiping and satisfying me :)

Once they get too old to please the eyes, they're sent to the mines.

Oh, and they are all implanted with emotional control nanomachines to make sure they cannot hate.

Also, the only allowed music genres are classic, old school rock and country.

Lastly, high speed WiFi covers the entire planet, and I am the sole dictator/god.

Only thing I would've have to watch out for is that my succesors continue my line so that it doesn't end in shit or declare it a democracy before I bite the dust.

If established I would expect people to rip my dream apart, spit on it, and make their own. I'm dead and the dream goes with me. Sure the next set might think it's still great and follow through but the dream still should change to suit them.

Society should always have that 10% to 5% of insane people. It's where all our ideas come from. If we have nothing but sane people, wow, might as well just move planets again.

Ban windows? The OS or the windows in a house that let in light?

I'll wager for the lack of house windows.

Makes for a very post-apocalyptic look.
