Gunpla!

I thought I'd check and see if any fellow Fakkers are into modeling (specifically Gundam). Its a growing obsession of mine, even though I've only completed one measly High Grade model. And by completed I mean with a decent paint job etc.. Not snap together and call it done BS.

I'm pretty happy with my final result, just cause I haven't touched a model since some WWII planes a built back when I was 12 or so. The paint and panels lines got a little smudgy in some places, and I didn't bother fixing seams. It is what it is though, I want to move on now, and I'll take my next one more seriously.

Next up is HG Freedom, then the Impulse, and Graham Acre's Custom Flag from Gundam 00. Then I'm gonna get a MG... Probably RX-78 cause you really can't beat that.

Edit: I hate to ask this, but how do you thumbnail your images? They're a bit big I think.

i got myself some models when i was in japan a while back, HG Ultron and HG Deathscythe and an MG Wing 0 and i have to say what you built really makes my HGs look like crap, and looks as good as an MG.
i havnt ever really bothered with paint but it looks like its defintly worth it now.
Id get some more models myself but theyre just too expensive where i live, and hard to find the ones i want from the Wing series, though i might look into getting some from gundam 00 if i see them lying around

Thanks man, I have no idea where you live, but if you're in the US, give a look around your area for a HobbyTown. They generally have pretty reasonably priced Gundam models, and the one near me just stocked a crapload of 00 models. Probably not gonna have much luck with the Wing line though...

They're in Japanese, but you can still pick up a lot of good techniques from them (these are serious pro modelers) and while
you or I are never gonna pull them off as well at first, they still work well.

OT; I've been building gunpla for a few years, myself. It's relaxing to listen to music while snapping the pieces together and shit. My latest project has been an F91 Gundam, but I can go ahead and list what I've built thus far in a little spoiler list, and post photos if anyone's interested though I am a shit photographer.

My next project is going to be a Scopedog from VOTOMS. Shit's gonna be so cash.
