Is it funny if you read the webcomic?
0
not independently, the pun at the end is based off a series of commercials run during the 80's and 90's intended to "educate" the young viewing audiences so they could overcome racism, and other societal ills

I'd still recommend reading the web-comic, it's brilliantly written

=/

i guess it's funny and i understand what it's saying...but i suppose it's just something i consider to be common sense, so i dont find it entertaining being reminded that stupid people exist.

It's really more of a commentary on the educational system. In certain states (prompted by no child left behind) when students can't pass the standardized tests, they lower the passing grade. and that's something I believe needs to stop.

yea, no child left behind is stupid, because if the children are stupid, lowering the standards only makes stupid more likely to contaminate the system with their stupid, though we are quite late if we hope to fix it now... ...which is stupid. lol

sry, ive been watching a lot of invader zim

Ha! LICD..my favorite webcomic.

Wait, what the fuck!? I'm the only one allowed to post LICD stuff. Goddamn it that was my shtick!

Though I agree. We shouldn't be rewarding mediocrity.

my shtick, your shtick, lets just accept that LICD is a fantastic webcomic. and that I've stolen your shtick and made it mine.
0
ha you got your shtick stole, but anyways i agree, dumb people are dumb and we shouldnt reward them for being less dumb. although we do make fun of smart people that do dumb things, vicious cycle. but yeah LICD awesome, i wanna work for ids enterprises.

they're actually lowering the passing grades on the standardized testing.

When I was in high school, they changed the grade scale. An F used to be below 70, so 69-0. Then they changed it, and a D became 65-69, and an F was 64-0. It didn't concern me because I never made bad grades, but it did show me that the school was expecting less of the students, which disappointed me.

The thing is, I'm guessing the change wasn't made because of complaining parents or teachers. I assume that the wonderful "No Child Left Behind" was the main reason. The school had to make sure students passed or lose their money. Thinking about it like that, I'm glad the change was made. That crappy school needed all the money it could get.

No child left behind was a huge mistake. If anything the bar should have been raised.
