Import of Eroge and german customs administrations

0
Hello there.

I really like eroge and now I want to buy the physical "Taimanin Asagi Premium Box" on JList.com.

In Germany such imported items will have to go through the "Zoll". In english: the customs administrations. There the item will be evaluated and either kept at the Zoll - because of inconplete information on the product or you, the person that ordered it - or it will be sent to a prosecuting attorney.
But since Germany has such a complex set of laws I'm kinda insecure wether or not I can just order it without having to worry that some prosecuting attorney will sue me due to the "import of media/content that is unconstitutional and/or harmful to youths"...

Why do I worry about that? Well, the Taimanin Asagi Series is kind of pretty hardcore and nasty but what to do. It's my fetish. ^^"

Now to my question:
Has anyone that has been or currently is living in Germany got any experience with this? Or generally ordering such content on JList perhaps?
I would really like to learn about this before head-diving into a lawsuit I couldn't possibly win.

The official Zoll-website of the German Republic is rather unspecific about this and I'm not sure they would just pass it up as "just a game some pervert ordered"... :D

You'll only get problems with the zoll if it's something illegal or if it exceeds a certain value if it's from outside the EU, I think it was 26,20€
I've been importing adult oriented movies and games years ago without problems, so it should be fine

Thanks for your reply!

I also read into this some more and apparently you won't get much trouble if your order's value doesn't exceed 150€.
However, you'll have to pay the Umsatzsteuer (value added tax depending on the provided performance) of 19% or 7%.
And with values ranging from 22€ to 150€ you'll have to pay the Einfuhrumsatzsteuer (the same as the above except here you have to pay extra because it was imported).

But for starters I'll order something less extreme and see how it turns out. ^^

Again, thanks for your reply, now I'm at least even more assured.

depends on the content really, ive got some friends in Austria, and she said that anything loli-esq is a hard no, and will possibly result in legal action. Snuff and guro is also probably off the table too, but anything softer then that, or anything with adult characters is probably fine. Have fun dealing with the gestapo, and good luck.

Ima go back to ordering whatever the hell i please, cause i live in the best country in the world :)

Everything worked out fine, the game arrived without any complications.
Also, no sign of the gestapo so far:D

FYI, the game I ordered was "Lightning Warrior Raidy 3"... so no guarantee that one could import a Taimanin Game into Germany without anyone trying to sue them.

This doesn't belong in Serious Discussion and you should ask JLIST, they should be able to help you.
