Should Pot be legalized?

Marijuana should absolutely 100% be legal all around the world the same way alcohol and nicotine are. And i would also like to advertise that this is coming from a person who has never smoked a singel cigarette or weed joint in his life.

I think it should. It's not a hard drug and the goverment could get a nice profit because of the taxes.

Personally, I wouldn't condone the use as I can't stand the stuff
But thinking about it objectively, it would be an excellent cash crop (like tobacco), which can be taxed and regulated so that you're guaranteed a quality product, which would be beneficial in our "war against drugs".
So to legalize it, I would say yes, as the benefits out weighs the risks.

Now, someone here cares for the fact that California catatonic weed is going to be legalized? Anyway, on the point of marijuana, have you ever seen someone drive recklessly and kill people when their high on weed, or die of lung cancer because of it? Just saying.

How... is this still a topic. move to or just visit Colorado, Washington, Amsterdam. its legal their, hell air ports in colorado now have drop boxes for when you leave the state to get rid of your pot.

Just because marijuana is legal in some places doesn't mean that this subject is outdated. You can either be in favor of legalization of pot for a place that hasn't passed such a law and state why or say why you would be against the legalization of pot or if the law was passed, why you find it is an issue.
I do see where you're coming from though and if people want to express their personal belief's on pot more then they can go to the already made subject on this below (made in 2010, but whatever, most of these type threads are old anyways);

Marijuana should be legal as legitimate quality medication. it already has saved lives.
marijuana should be legal for recreational use. it would be safer than alcohol and even that hasnt completely destroyed us.

It should definitely be legalized everywhere.
Like others said it would be good for taxes just like tobacco.

Drinking alcohol can give you cancer and influence you to make bad decisions that can get you and others killed, ages 21+
Marijuana, makes you run out of snakes in 20 minutes and lets you and your friends just relax and not mess with society, ILLEGAL
I would like to see it legalized, and we should tax it as well so that the government has a good reason to legalize it, they like money. Am I one to smoke often, no not really, but i dont see the negative affects of marijuana besides running out of Cheetos and Pepsi.

Decriminalized weed is disgusting as hell though.
It is covered in e.coli and human poop because trimmers do not wear gloves.
It is a lot more addictive than wild weed and compared to how strong weed was 40 years ago.
Legalized weed (so far) has also made other weed products legal. Such as marijuana candy. These things aren't well studied and have much stranger effects. Humans have been considerably more violent when consuming non-smokable forms of marijuana.
And legal weed may eventually go the way of tobacco products where the tax rate is damn near 50% of the product itself.
