My neighborhood is on fire!!!

It's terrible! The houses in my neighborhood are close to each other...
If one caught on fire it'll spread like crazy!
The fire set on a house a mere block from mine... (maybe less than 50 meters away!)
It happens midnight, apparently the owner of the house was on vacation...
And investigation shows a hint of gas leak and gnawed cable near(rats! its always rats!)...
At that time, we're lacking manpower!
The streets in my neighborhood was just too narrow for firetrucks to enter!
I was one of the volunteer in the neighborhood jumped down to scene helping the firefighters evacuating and tried to contain the fire from spreading!
I bring with me shovels, fire extinguishers, even water hose... anything I can think of to help!
The fire rages until morning.... when the combine efforts of the firefighters and the volunteers of my neighborhood managed to put down the fire...
The result: two houses are badly damaged, one is scorched to the ground (the ground zero), one injured, and one badly injured... Thankfully no one dies!
I shudder to think of what would happened if the fire spread...
I might be a homeless by now...
I feel bad to the owner of the burned house...

Thats why I have a life time supply of booze, to live a good bum life

Yeah, I heard from news that fire is a brutal thing that happened quite often at the states...

I never imagined it would happened to me...

Well, if you living in places that have high risk of accidents and disasters (like me)... you might wanna insurance you property or valuable belongings...


Its just too god damned scary you know... the fire was...
I mean I could even felt the heat of the flames from the third story of my house...

The third story was just an extention to the roof...
Its just a place where I dry my clothes...
That place is where I noticed the big flame was real...
I mean when I try to log on to the net, my neighbor bang my door and said that there's fire...
I couldn't believe him so I got up the stairs to make sure...
And you know the rest...

Being a bum would actually be pretty cool. Bums are a lot happier than you would imagine. You'll find you're fair share of bums that lived the "good life," lost everything from being convicted of tax evasion, and spend their life on the streets reflecting back at all the "great" things they had. Then, there are your typical bum concerns like finding a warm place to sleep in the winter, eating, drinking, you know the things that are necessary to survival.

Yeah, being a bum in our country is the last thing we want to be, our government is still being troubled by this problem.
Government support is very little and things are getting expensive each day.

So you've stayed up all night, to help extinguish the fire, now that's a human being. :wink:

To tell you the truth, I'm not much of a brave or good man like you think...
I stayed all night coz I was afraid the fire caught my house too, which is just seconds away...

You're still brave for your effort to protect and your worries for your own house. :D
