That's not going to fly considering some people pay to download porn. I checked to see if this was snuck into passage with the COVID-19 stimulus bill (because congress loves sneaking unpopular shit like this in "must-pass" bills), nothing related to its text present in any of those PDFs so it's still just an introduced bill, one I hope the ones behind fakku are paying attention to.
The only senator who would fight this is Ron Wyden but don't know how much success he'd have beyond delaying it. Some internet-interest-groups apparently are preparing to go to court over it if it passes (I assume EFF will join up soon).

Another porn on the internet bill. What is it with governments trying to fuck with porn on the internet by trying to enforce changes that ruin it for everyone?
Stamping out downloads will only cause people to look to alternative ways to do so, like with how people download YouTube videos.
The only thing of note it will do, other than encourage piracy, is harm businesses that have a download model like Fakku.

This should effect us or mainstream porn site because they have the necessary forms of consent. Since no one outside the company upload content. Now only fans, pateron and users who upload there porn plus artist who do commissions mostly will get fucked by this. I guess law makers don't realize that you have to download the video to watch it. Even if the video player only does a part at a time, someone can easily write up a script that combines the parts into a full video.

Dl brazzers or mainstream stuff won't apply since they already have the model release on hand. Onlyfans or manyvid solo workers may just need to fill out a form. Doing porn with another might need time for that release to be filled.
None of this would affect hentai. Can't revenge porn or upload non consental stuff from a 2d non human. License content has a different way for copyright infringement.
