The sad part is there doesn't seem to be a clear definition on the internet and a lot of sources have their own ideas of what each means which leads to misinformation. But from what I've gathered over the years, the tag thumbnails, and from quick Googlesearches it believe it comes down to:

Cheating: A character in a relationship who willingly fucks someone else, usually because their other half won't do anything with them or are conveniently overseas for whatever reason. Edit: And as Freaky points out, other half is unaware of the affair(s).

Netorare: When someone in a relationship is stolen by someone else. The character is usually initially reluctant but coerced into sex and end up preferring their lover, or just become a slave to sex.

Netori: When someone goes after someone who is with someone else. Sometimes ends up with a breakup and gets with the lover. Basically a homewrecker.

(The only real difference between Netorare and Netori is perspective, however Netorare is usually presented with a woman in a heterosexual relationship being taken by a man.)

Netorase: Literally cuckolding. Someone gets off on watching their partner fucking someone else and are present in the room or watching from a distance, usually by webcam.

Add the other partner doesn't know about the cheating. That separates cheating and the ntr genres.

Thanks for the reply. I accept your definitions.
It's worth noting that even the Japanese are
rather vague on the subject, and they them-
selves often refer to the whole thing as simply
"NTR," just to be safe.
