People had sex. Some guy thought, "Hmm maybe I can tape them having sex and sell it." Hence the birth of porn.

The day the video camera was made was the day porn was made (at least the idea).

Actually, porn existed before that. Photographic porn existed long before video cameras.

And drawn pictures meant to arouse existed long before that.

Still, I'm not sure how the first porn company got started, and it would be interesting to find out.

I was thinking more along the lines of, "How did they get a sponsor?" and "How did they market their smut?"

Since you can't go back in time or find any records of this shit(I think, and I mean exactly how it went down), then just make shit up.

Another guy knew that the first guy was making a sex video so he's like, "Hey, I'll sponsor that, and then we'll introduce this awesome concept to the horny people of the world." Then the first guy said, "So what's my cut?" Can't forget that there was money involved.

I believe porn was "invented" long before the camera. There were "peep shows" in the early 16th century where men would pay to go watch people having sex and I would also assume that this occurred long before that time as well. Probably dating back long before we started recording history.

Pornographic images on various items already existed in ancient greece and the roman empire (and possibly Japan) over 2000 years ago (maybe even longer). Hell, I wouldn't be surprised if some cavemen painted a giant cock on some wall over a million years ago. :lol:
