Something brilliant please.

huh? What kind of movie, anime or live-action? It would also help if you listed some movie genres that interests you, action, adventure, fantasy, sci-fi, slice-of-life, romance, apocalypse-settings, etc. etc.

I don't care what genre it is. As long as it's something mind blowing, Anime is fine. But live action is acceptable too.

hmm... ever tried watching Makoto Shinkai movies? They're breathtaking and bittersweet.

1. Hoshi no Koe (voices of a distant star) - 30min OVA
2. The Place Promised in Our Early Days - hour-something movie
3. Byousoku 5cm (5 centimeters per second) - a collection of OVAs, totaling more than 1 hour.

I recommend any movies with Jet Li if you can get your hands on them. That's it for now.

Watch the movie Hackers. It is entertaining to say the least. There are also some good anime movies, you just have to search and find one you like.

Well, as far as live action movies go, I'd recommend the movie "better luck tomorrow" it's damn good in my opinion. As for anime movies, I can't think of anything that hasn't already been mentioned already.

You want to try something weird? Go watch the Japanese movie Survive Style 5+. For mind blowing, I recommend The Matrix, but chances are you've already seen it =). For all around greatness, two of my personal favorites are Forrest Gump and The Shawshank Redemption. Those two are pretty mind blowing in their own way too.

Actually, if you want mind blowing, go check out Stanley Kubrick's work (2001 A Space Odyssey, Clockwork Orange, Fullmetal Jacket, etc.).
