Stereotypes of blacks

Lately on different sites, when I see people make negative racial comments toward black people and about black people based on a video that shows the ignorance of a few black people. I decided to find out how fakku thinks. How do you all view black people. what are you thought on them and your honest opinions about them. I'd like to gather information. I posted this in SD so it doesnt turn into rude comments and arguements, but a respectful debate.

What do I think of black people?

Um, they're people.

People who, like every other person in the world, sometimes have their images soured by a negligible handful of complete degenerates.

The trick is in not viewing people by their "race". For instance, imagine the white people in the U.S. switching places with the minorities (economically and what not), and futher imagine them having been oppressed, hated and prejudged by the rest of the ethnic groups for decades.

On the other hand we are all genetically different. It is true that most african men are better at building up muscles and such which is probably due to higher testostrone levels - which would theoretically make them more agressive.

It's hardly as black and white as most of us would think though.

First, i think its safe to assume at least %50 of anti-black comments made online is probably trolling/people being sarcastic. As for the serious comments, i think it shows America is not over race as much as we like to think. And personally i try to judge people based on there actions, not there race,gender,etc. I am half-black myself , and if i see a video/read a article of a person acting in a way i view to be ignorant or stupid i will make fun of them regardless of race.

Hmmm that's a pretty generic question since I heard this like a thousand times already, but my opinion of Blacks, in general terms, they are sports-loving, overly muscle, maniacs. And they are pretty big hypocrites and they pretty much simpletons.

They prefer solve many of their problems with violence; they also wouldn't be interested in a good philosophical debate or almost any other debates not involving sports, violence, or sex. I should know cuz I am black and been living with my kin folk long enough to know how they are.

You've stated this but notice, you're referring to all blacks, based on what you're normally surrounded by, and one thing you forgot to include in that generalization, all blacks aren't interested in otaku-related things but you are. Black Jesus is and I am. Also one thing that they're interested in that outweighs you claims is comedy. Everyone loves a good laugh and I'm sure the blacks that surround you joke around a lot.

Makes me pretty sad to see that poeple are not over this intire race issue yet..

On topic, Comments by anon's and whatever, are quite useless, the blame should be put toward the ones who picked out poeple who didn't know better, the large corparations always seem to be bad about that.

Personnally I see nothing, I never even learned there was anything other than "human poeple" until I was 12, you either have lighter or darker skin. I have family that are black, white, mixxed, partly asian, so none of it makes a diffrence to me. When the question "Why does -XXXXX- have dark skin?" came up, they told me that they had diffrent parents, and that those parents had that colour of skin, Thus, I learned of the wonderful world of genetics!!

Also, What about jokes on race? obviously you can't just go out and say "Asians are smarts!" But decent funny jokes? Are they alright as along as they can be laughed at? It is important to laught at yourself.

I view them all as good hearted people who are more honest and more willing to be open than the rest of the races around the world. ( Personal experience )

I view them as normal people.

First, whats up with the double post. Second very few blacks are deep in manga and anime. Also, thanks to mention about comedy cuz I forgot to mention it. Lastly, my generalization is based on my experience and the information i get from watching black shows on BET and from watching the news.

As far as joking would go, no one minds much racial jokes in my opinion as long as they arent insensitive. So i think jokes are fine to an extent.
For example, if someone hangs a string with a loop saying "look, Im hanging niggers" then the joke would be insensitive and taken too far.
However, if someone makes a more c... I was looking for a tasteful black joke and came across this, Tight rope jokes it makes me wanna just give up.



I dont know how i managed to double post but thanks for the heads up, ohh, I thought you was basing it off people who you encounter thats black. But you'd be surprised how many blacks are actually interested in otaku-related stuff, they tend to stray away from it as to not be considered "a weirdo." I would've done the same had i not made it clear to all my friends i was interested in this stuff.

Also I thought about the sports interest thing, I think that black people who live in poverty stricken neighborhoods, tend to lean more to rapping or playing sports is not only because its in blacks nature, but the only black idols available to them are mainly the whole NBA and majority of the rappers. They see this as one of the only ways for them to make a better life for themselves as a result.

I'd hate to say it, but sometimes we do things that reinforce stereotypes. What causes it is that black people, in a way, afraid to express themselves in the environments they live in. A lot of people joke about me having a huge Haruhi Suzumiya poster in my room because they see it as not "normal" for an African American. Can you imagine going through Compton blaring the Lucky Star theme from your vehicle?

I was listening to this podcast with one of my favorite rappers and he said that black parents don't allow their kids to express themselves. If they seen their child doing something against the "norm", they tell them to stop because it "embarrasses" the parent or it just doesn't look "right". In turn, their fantasy world is broken and they have to find another outlet, sadly sometimes leading to gang life to express themselves, which brings about ANOTHER stereotype of blacks.

In all honesty though, I wish stereotypes were broken at the same time, I wish there were more African Americans that aren't afraid to stand out and show individuality.

Im in 12th grade and my peers give me so much grief about hentai or telling substitute teacher about hentai, japanese porn, going to chuckee cheeses and telling little girls to watch out for me, since i fancy me some loli hentai. I can barely watch nichijou in class without them bringing it up. That thing that makes them think difference is weird hinders them because, there a lot of people who might be able to enjoy anime and hentai but they cant because they're afraid of being different.

Also the thing about it originating from their parent i agree with because when i was fifteen, sixteen, and seventeen my mom always said arent you a little too old to be playing with yugioh cards, now i no longer play with them because they repel girls and i was afraid to be different.

My race has its problems like all others , but it kinda makes me sad seeing how the youth are turning out especially in the black community.

Hmmm u know that blacks, well any human, will tend to become what they watch; and I know the media is made of lies and use information to their advantage but the greatest lies are based on truth.

again...anyone who relies on the media or TV to generalize or judge a group of people(race or countries) is idiotic in my book. Also that is still a terrible excuse. Do not judge your own race or group of people until you try meeting other people instead of what you see on TV, 4chan, or the people around you.

Black people have big dicks? Just as asians have fingerling sizes? Thats what women say. I havent confirmed this yet.

What I think of blacks? Nothing. In America, we should judge someone only by their character.

Although I do hate when people blame things on race, like the whole Trayvon Martin bullshit. That nearly started a race war...

it's q cultural thing not a race thing. I know a black person who acts white and hates rap and pretty much the opposite of what you described.

The reason blame things on race with that is perspectives, if their roles were reversed, Trayvon Martin would been arrested on the spot, there wouldnt be anyone trying to prove his innocence, and their would be anyone supporting him. Where as with reality, they bring up news like Trayvon was a bad kid in school or that when he died there was THC in his system, and to most black it seems like people are trying to justify his death or make it like it isnt a big issue of him dying.
