The Direction FAKKU! is going...

Fakku books was a decision that had to be taken. I think it was a step into the right direction and made the site even better.

I understand what you're saying but the books arent that expensive. I don't mind spending some cash on the lovely community that I want to keep going and possibly expand even further.

[size=10]I have my own problems with fakku but it has 0 to do with books.

It's an annoyance but not something I can't tolerate. Though if it keeps getting shoved in my face to a higher degree, thats when I'll start "joining" the "fight"

That's almost some of my point, now, maybe I don't know where the requests go, but I do hate to see that "U Mad?" thing when I'm about to read something just to find out I need to buy it (It happens with some others that tell me that my country is not allow to let me see it but that's a little different, etc, etc.).

My point is, maybe I'm just being an Idiot, but could Fakku put the mangas that they're selling to the right side... you know, before those 12 Onaholes they're selling and the Poll of the Week? After all Fakku wants to be better:

Why don't separate the selling product from the free products?

Redesign the site to give us a better experience;

This is what you can buy and this is as we usually worked before.

Now I do get that maybe the selling product could be ignore by doing this, cause they would lose some presence so, maybe at the right with some images or why not a new tag called "Buy" or "Purchase" at the beginning of the tags, that would be nice too.

So, if anyone knows how to put that to their knowledge I would be really please to know it. Thank you!

The ideal outcome would've been for Wani to tolerate fan translations as long as the title in question wasn't licensed yet, but given that they were trying to pull the plug on >>EVERYTHING<<, I don't think FAKKU's actions can be taken as "selling out"...

Somehow I don't see this mentioned et all, it's just Jewcob this, Jewcob that, FAKKU sold "us" out, etc. (Who is this us, people keep mentioning? The community? Readers? Translators? Hentai website hosters?)

Sorry if my topic sounded purely like a baby crying for free hentai, that wasn't my intention at all or at least now.

I know that eveybody has rights and those who deserve a paycheck or recognition should have it since they worked hard and also did it in something they like most, they should get something in return.

My crying is more about Fakku slaping me with the "You must purchase this book in order to read it" thing. I may didn't implied it but I don't like that, to found out at the last moment that I need to pay for something and I was thinking if someone knew how to tell "FAKKU!" that we want some new tags like "Buy" and "Purchase" or a redesign of the site so it puts the selling material in a place you know it's purely selling products.

If FAKKU! it's becoming "bigger and better" I would think it needs "maps" so we don't get lost.

Actually what I was referring to was all the whining and moaning I read on 4chan. By comparison the reactions on FAKKU had been mature and intelligently phrased.

Even so I must admit that I was whining quite a bit with no real explaining or justification of it and that was a mistake :P

The colored-purchased format is up and running, so problem solved for differentiation. As for the "u mad" page, I'm going to suggest changing that straight to the preview page.

The only issue with hiding such material is that how will you know that fakku is selling a product?? I mean sure they have the store tab and they could push the material to another portion of the site, but business-wise it wouldn't be smart to hide such content.

Sure people may dislike that there is content they can't view, but some people who see such a thing may be willing to purchase said content if they are curious enough to do so. Those that don't like it or can't afford it don't have to.

Basically think about it from a business perspective, if you have a product and you want to sell it, then you'd want it to be displayed where everyone can see it. Like I said, it will annoy some, but if you hide then you will get less views and notice to the material. I personally don't care regardless if I bought the books or not that it's there because to me it's just common sense to go about doing things this way. They aren't overly ridiculous with such a tactic and it's easy to get away from the material with a few clicks of the back button.

They may come up with a better way to design the layout in the future, but I doubt they will fully hide their releases. I know I would spam a bit to get my product noticed, but it's just because it's the way marketing works sometimes.

I did mention that, I know that doing what I said then people could not see the products as you say too. Then I got this idea, how about when you enter to FAKKU! it leads you exactly where those selling products are? Like a menu saying "Here! This is what we are selling if you're interested" and then you can change from that view to a "normal" view, and while you read a manga some other adds comes up (without being annoying, like "you need to close it" annoying), that could be good, right? Of course you could save the page where you don't get to see that display and "get down to bussiness" but it could be a start... I guess... How about that? Would someone like that or something similar?

I know but I would like to avoid passing by something I don't have the money to purchase, even when you display your site you have to think about the quality, right?

The direction wasn't something most of us wanted under ideal wild western internet circumstances, but Fakku was faced with the reality that the most powerful doujinshi publisher in JP got a whiff of what was going on here and they weren't happy about it. The fact that we got out of it with most of what keeps us here intact is something of a small miracle.

I suspect the showcased layout is also part of the Wani deal. I can't imagine Wani being particularly happy if they segregated the pay content to a place where it would get less traffic. If I had to sell a space, it'd be there. It's up-front enough to draw traffic, but it doesn't screw with traffic flow to other content sources like another page or subsection. As far as mitigating damage to the site, Jacob did a really damn good job. Fakku is still an extremely usable semen deposit despite having an atypically large front page ad.

I have been reading on Fakku for about 7 years now and always browsed the forums religiously, but I dont recall Jacob promising to "Never turn Fakku into a publishing agency."
I only made an account on here a few years ago when it got to the point where I couldnt keep track of my favourites on my own.

Thing is that basically every scan on here that is free is technically illegal (Unless otherwise consented to by the author.). I remember when my favourite artist Atmosphere got all his stuff pulled like Girl's Lacrosse Club. I was mad but got over it in a day or two as there is plenty of other quality hentai manga on here.

So yes OP you are just butthurt. I was too.

Paid releases are quite great I bought one and enjoy it a lot as there isnt white/black patches on everything. The quality is top notch and the english isnt jammed through google translate. It supports the artist directly so it's good to purchase. Costs about as much as an issue of hustler or playboy (Atleast where I live.) and you own it indefinitly.

All that happened was that publishers said, "You know what? We don't really want our works released for free." Can't really complain about that.

I don't think the main reason Fakku is doing this is because of the money. Sure it's one of the greater factors, but this is the only way Fakku can release content that has been copyrighted by Wani. Not to mention, it's premium hentai; the scans are very high quality and are fully uncensored. I don't mind paying out of my budget for something this great!

Not just "very high quality", but simply these files that Fakku gets are basically "Lossless", straight from Wani themselves and it's pre-censored stuff.

OT: Yeah, OP you're just simply butthurt.
People tend to get misinformed by those who scream "jewcob" in other sites.
Fakku is trying to push the niche hentai manga market legally, and the knee jerk reaction is a double standard as Project-H has been doing basically the same thing WAY earlier than FAKKU Books, but people reacted like this because unsurprisingly People LOVES Wani's content.

Also look at Sekai Project, who's now Kickstarting Clannad to get an official localization. Despite doing practically the same thing, It's now funded and has went past their last stretch goal.

So, why is it that only FAKKU who gets the "Bad Guy"/"Black Sheep" treatment? Because Fakku has an easy clear outspoken person as their leading man to be blamed. .

Everyone should check the review of this very sane person

I still find it weird that the people who complain about not getting the old scans can't google or search the millions of torrent and dl sites. Shit googling renai sample i found a bunch of info. Only one isn't out there is 'Alluring Woman'(japanese name of course) since no one translated it outside of two chapters. FAKKU SUBS IS THE FIRST. Unless you want the raws... that still outhere.

So Kai post was hidden... now it pops up. Another fakku day.

Now i see that they did something to tell us "HEY!!! IDIOTS... YOU NEED TO BUY THIS SO YOU CAN READ IT... JUST SO YOU KNOW... YOU'RE WELCOME!!!" In wich i need to say... thank you very much Fakku... even so i really want to read those mangas XD... Thank you, not sure if it's going to reach you but thank you FAKKU for putting that up and sorry for not saying it sooner.

okay, you kind of pointed out the only reason the books cost money, the books they are publishing are above the table, and the majority of the content on the site is still free. The site is free to visit, and to have an account, and to use the forums, and acess all the features of the site, but they publish and sell a select handful of books, at a very, very reasonalbe price, and you think they are becoming a shadow of their former selves? i think they have become giants, going from a little back woods porn site, to a massive, free, amazing hentai site that will continue to grow and evolve.

the day you have to pay to have a profile, yes, i will complain, but until somthing bad like that happens, this place is amazing
