What is your impression on people who love hentai?

My impression? ---> Doesn't matter what they watch or read, everyone's got their own tastes and preferences so who am I to judge? (Note: didnt want to kinda read through 6 pages of intelligent text, too much for my noggin at 7am xD)

Now I'm about to cry.

As long as there isn't acceptance of what people are interested in there will always be conflict. Just because they don't like it they think it's wrong because it's out of their knowledge and interests, and it will especially be looked down on if it's something from another country because it's not something ubiquitous in their society.

People need to be more open-minded and accepting of people's interests and see from their point of view first before initially criticizing it and being a biased moron.

But it's even evident in the hentai community - people constantly putting down and bashing genres simply because they don't like them. People should understand that even though they don't like a genre, someone else does. You don't have to like it but don't go purposely making people feel bad about what they like. I'm probably just referring to the idiots that don't read tags on the site, though.

But I do love the hentai community, especially the FAKKU community, it's a unique and intelligent group of beautiful people that doesn't deserved to be looked down on.

New sometimes and heavily biased people simply take the smallest portion of the worst group and basically generalize it over the entire area.

They(media) doesn't care about the other 60% nor do they care for the reasons behind why they chose that specific lifestyle. In short, they magnify the worst and marginalize the majority.

If i'm right they probably magnified the loli-watchers and the bad bad otakus in japan(50 sex dolls person,etc.) and throw a wide dialogue saying all hentai watchers, otakus are like this or something

Actually those who love hentai are a lot more or should i say a lot mature than those who doesn't, why? this because we or should i say me! do love hentai but i do not mixed between a reality and a fantasy. That was the big different between a person who love hentai and those who doesn't. Plus loving hentai more better than to love to lie.

I dont care about other peoples preferences so i dont really care about people that are deemed "perverts" by the media. Oh and my impressions on people who love hentai hooray for you.

In high school people always made fun of hentai randomly for some reason or joke to me "oh you probably like hentai. Yeah i bet you like pickachu thunder cock" or some b.s. and of course i just kid and turn it on them.

I think hentai that actually has a plot is better than a porn video that has just mindless sex. But then again, this might be a biased answer.

there's nothing wrong with loving hentai or porn, so long as it is done in moderation and not to excess, but this is something that is true about almost anything we encounter in the world.

hentai, both the paper and video forms of it, can be a a great medium for storytelling and creative output. its just like art in graphic novels, just slightly raunchier and with more sex, although that may not necessarily hold true with all these movies that have sex scenes up the arse (movies like Basic Instinct and and the god-awful sex scenes in Zack Snyder's comic book film adaptations).

if news media is willing to chastise hentai and porn for depicting sex, they better stick to their words and aim their guns at anything sex in the media. otherwise, that's simply a double standard.

personally, i find nothing wrong with loving hentai and porn. i mean, we're only human; sex isn't supposed to be a despicable thing to us, so what's wrong with that?

I must confess that before I discover Fakku (thanks for taking my virginity Fakku!), I thought people who enjoy hentai were bad or dirty..... maybe because I was a kid who think all nice and all those goodie 2 shoe BS, or that I was sorta being a christian at that time, but I really feel bad thinking about how I view people like that.

Ever since I became a Fakku/Brony, I see no wrong in doing in w/e you enjoy (that is if it doesn't cross a line) and people shouldn't hate or treat people badly because they do it. I just find it childish and ashamed now if people think like that, especially with the "parent" who think it's wrong or the "religious" people that say it's evil or something in that nature. I am very curious on why people think that way and wish to know more on their thought process cause it just make me sad that someone is shunned for doing something they enjoy (like how some kids get bullied for certain hobby).

Well the interests of a person doesn't really reveal any personality traits they possess. If you love hentai, it doesn't mean you're a 'greedy' or 'generous' person. Such things are unrelated.

I see no problem with hentai. A friend of mine watches live-action porn and is into "sharking" or something like that, and he proudly admits he is a pervert, slapping girl's behinds when they walk past.

Well I agree, Hentai/porn are nasty. But that is what gets some people off, being nasty and disgusting, and Freaky.

Nothing is wrong with liking hentai. it's perfectly normal imo. it's not like it's anything REALLY screwed up like shat or child pronography or anything messed up like that.

I can't say that I really even knew what hentai was before I came here. Initially I thought it was kind of strange and embarrassing to like hentai, but two years here has really changed that. Being part of the community, or rather lurking around it, has really shown me that there's absolutely nothing wrong with liking hentai or the people that like it. Hentai is really only looked down on by others because they don't know what it really is. They've never seen the works that compel you to read them for the stories more than the pornographic content. They've never read the vanilla that melts your heart. They've never been a part of a community as large and as diverse as this one. It might be strange to say this but hentai has changed my life in a positive manner and I know that an interest in hentai does nothing to deter me from talking to a person, but gives me one more thing to discuss with them.

They're people, pure and simple. A common stereotype of people who love Hentai are viewed as fat, sweaty basement dwellers with no social lives according to some idiots. Some people, maybe a vast majority, think that people who like hentai are not normal human beings.

My definition of normal is "Someone you don't know very well." and this seems proper since it corresponds with the beloved concept of individualism that the west loves so much.
