Wow when you get the game you got to put in a code just to play online. It seems everyone who is playing already got scopes.

How's the story in that game... assuming that people still play the storymode first over the multiplayer, Is the story good? Length?

Console player here I was wondering how are the graphics are with the "High Res" Disc

There's no "high-res" disc. There's just the option to install some components onto your hard drive to bring your game to high resolution.

The story's not bad so far. I'm a little past halfway through it, but I already think it's a damn sight better than Modern Warfare 2. At any rate, it doesn't insult my knowledge of the military and world politics.

Well the PC players are in some trouble, I can't even access the campaign mode. Why the f*ck do I need a web browser to play my campaign?

For any gamers who haven't picked up BF3 and plan to, or only just started playing, allow me to say this. If you have any friends with the game, start out playing a few rounds of co-op with them and unlock a few guns before jumping into the multiplayer. I've been using the KH2002 I unlocked from co-op, and it's a great DMR. It may not have the same range and accuracy as most sniper rifles, but at medium to long range, it's an excellent beginner weapon. Basically, there are seven guns (including the G3A3, MP7 and M39 EMR) that can only be obtained through playing co-op, which may explain why I've never seen anyone else wielding the MP412 REX and the aforementioned KH2002.

Thsi game is a lot of fun.

Far different from BF2, but that's not a bad way.

Took my like 3 maps to get used to the new style, but now i own shit up like a boss topping each round for my team :D

So here is my impressions after a day or two of solid gameplay. Awesome game but the servers and the team play are fucking messed up. Helicopters were very different to fly then BF2 and leared teh hard way lol and jets yeah the same thing to. DO A BARREL ROLL * beep beep beep* *Crash* Mobile AA is possibly the most awesome thing I unlocked all Items in one game lol 41-2. scout heli's and kinda slow for being scout heli's. if anyone wants to join me or fun on xbox my GT is Shawn420 :D

Is shotgun sniping OP in this?

After two previous games they still have not fixed my gripes about the game since Bad Company.

And to keep this post from being completely negative, some positive thoughts about the game.

When it all comes together and works well it can be a blast. I've had some great fun with it. I like the sound effects of explosions, aircraft flying overhead, and bullet barely missing. I like the vehicle combat, although I feel that they get repaired a bit too quickly. While there is close quarters run n gun combat (which I don't like), there's also a lot of long range, strategic stand-offs (which I do like). I love the large variety of radio chatter in multiplayer when fighting and calling out enemies.

Are you referring to the fact that the shotguns actually have a range further than the COD standard of 5 feet? If so, then I'll just say this. I've been chopping fuckers in half with the 870. I think you can probably kill somebody a good 15(?) yards with a couple of well placed shots. But yeah, shotguns are actually a viable weapon category in this game. I've never gotten the chance to experiment much with them as I'm usually busy trying to unlock attachments to make my new guns usable in a firefight.

As a sidenote, I've found that all my time playing Rage has paid off for me in multiplayer as I'm a wicked awesome driver for the jeep/humvee. I'm only so-so with the tank and helicopter, and I'll need some practice with the jet before I'll be anywhere near effective at flying it.

Shotgun was really my hero when I played the demo, Since I was playing under the lag sometimes.

Anyway, I haven't bought this game for monetary reason. ( I just bought Idolmaster 2 and Tales of Xillia. lol)

I just got the M39 EMR, or should I say the modern-day version of the M14. I gotta say, that rifle kicks ass. I put an ACOG, grip and laser sight on that rifle, making it a damn fine weapon at medium to long range. Have to avoid CQB with it, though, as it's ROF is too low to compare to any automatic weapon where accuracy means nothing. Also, it's damage (and most likely range) is also rather low compared to other sniper rifles, requiring at least 2-3 torso shots (or a single headshot) to earn a kill, hence why I use it as a battle rifle instead of trying to snipe with it. Despite it's poor CQB performance, it's now my mainstay rifle in the game.
