Slark is an easy cpunter though. Early ganking hom before he gets 6 is a surefire way to make sure he is completely useless in mid to late game. Without items, he's done for.

And ES? The only efficient counter I've found is Silencer. Once he rolls in (or if you quickly spot him and have this ominous feeling he's gonna land a combo on you/your team), use your 3rd/4th skill immediately to make sure he can't combo.

It's not easy ganking slark when he has 2 skills before lvl 6 that helps him live through it. And even without items, he's going to do plenty of damage after he reaches 6.

As for Silencer vs ES, yes, it does work to some extent, but where are you going to slot silencer? If you put him mid, he's essentially going to be food once ES hits level 3. He has 0 rune control, no escape mechanics, and no lane control. If you put him in a tri lane, he's going to have no impact if your opponents decides to do an agro tri against yours.

The point is, both heroes are very flexible with laning and has great impact in team fights. Slark wins the 1v1 lanes against most melees, and his ulti forces you to pick AoEs to deal with it. As for ES, he has 1000~ range reliable stun, a 4s CD escape mechanic, 5s silence, not to mention his ulti. A few heroes might win you the lane against Earth spirit, such as Ember Spirit, but Earth Spirit doesn't even need items to have high impact early game.

6.80 patch came out. I won't be playing this game for around two weeks, then. I'll wait for the dumb players slam-picking Terrorblade to die out.

Meh, he's pretty much just Drow Ranger. No reliable escape mechanism, incredibly squishy early game.

TIP: his mirror images don't benefit from additional Attack Speed, so the original is 100% of the time the one that's attacking fastest.

While it's easy to tell which is the real him in the late game, it doesn't make it any easier dealing with him early game. The reflection/metamorphosis combo is incredibly strong.

That said, if he's shut down early it's very hard for him to recover, so some coordinated ganks do wonders.

Today I outlaned a Void, an Abbadon, and a jungle Enchantress as a solo offlane Axe. It felt both sad and satisfying.

People underestimate Axe's early game too much. Game ended at around 26 min.

Doesn't seem to be the case with my previous games though. It's even more surprising considering that they were ranked.

Why are all my Medusa games against some asshole pusher lineups that will suicide themselves just go get towers? I can't even blame them because it's the correct thing to do but jesus fucking christ every game with my own team never having any means of counterpush? It's so frustrating to be a farmed Medusa and lose to mega creeps, this hero is cursed in more than one way.

Medusa needs a team that can turtle, at last till 30-40 min mark. Better make a 3 man stack if you want to play as Medusa. Maxing Mystic Snake instead of Split Arrow is also a good option for minimize the push.

Despite the Stone Gaze rework, 100% magic resist can be a double edged sword.

I think Morphling and Medusa have bad luck charm at Pub games.
