Dungeon Fighter Online

If there's any time to join DFO, it's now. There are lots of bonuses for leveling up at the moment due to the new update, not to mention one of the cheapest (for what you're getting) packages I think I've ever seen in the game.

I've been playing since the beginning, and just about every class at that. If you have any questions about anything, you can come to me for advice. Emiya, Kenjugs, and Badguy are all vets, too, so you have a lot of help available if you need it.

Our guild is still small. If it grows, we get more bonuses. Higher stats, and a slightly higher exp rate.

C'mon people, join!

Got back into DFO after a while off, and it would be cool to have a guild to chill with again. Whom do I contact to sign up?

Need to get back to this game. It was a fun and interesting MMO that I was unique to me.

Once I get my computer fixed I will be returning to this game.

Hey. Remember that whole thing where I was banned?

Well, after a mere 50 weeks, I'm free.

IGN: Bachou.

50 weeks? What a deal!

Dear Dungeon Fighters,

In 2009, Nexon America was proud to release one of Nexon’s unique and most popular titles, Dungeon Fighter Online (DFO). Since the launch, Neople’s development team and Nexon America’s publishing team partnered to bring to you the action packed promise of DFO.

For more than three years, our teams worked hard in hopes of building a strong community through new content updates, service fixes, and events. We tirelessly battled hackers and farmers. We even had the honor of presenting the game to you at E3 and PAX. However, Dungeon Fighter Online was not able to grow beyond its very special and proud core following.

Sadly, Dungeon Fighter Online has not attracted enough player interest to properly service the game. Internally, we struggled deeply with the popularity of DFO in North America as the title is immensely popular overseas. For more than three years, we went through many milestones and several pushes before we came to this very difficult decision.

We sincerely regret to inform you that we will be bringing Nexon America’s service of DFO to an end.

We understand that many of you will be disappointed by this news. We hope that the game represents some of your great gaming memories. You have made new friends, created awesome characters, picked up some epic loot, and recorded some unforgettable victories. We, too, have loved working on this game, and learned a lot through our relationship with DFO.

A ramp-down of the game will begin on April 11, 2013, with the closing of the cash shop. Full service will discontinue on June 13, 2013.

We will compensate players for the purchase of unused or partially-used Permanent and Durational items purchased within the past six months. The dollar value is correlated with the time of purchase, the status of the item, etc.. More information regarding compensation can be found here.

Working on DFO during the past three years has been an honor, and we thank all of you Dungeon Fighters for joining us on this exciting journey.

I am really sad that this is happening, this is one of my favorite 2d fighting games. It was just great to me, its a shame that it is going to be shut down....i really love the Soul Bender class to me it was the class for me i had so much fun with him. i don't think i will see a class like him ever again. Nexon....i hated you for a lot of various things but this is from the heart.....fuck you nexon.

Fuck I was just about to download it again. What next grand chase. (Please God no)

Alright. Fuck nexon, I put some good time into that game. And spent a bit of coin out my own pocket not even less than a year ago. And now they just close it down.

Worked hard? It took over six months to respond to a ticket and 50 weeks for catfish to get unbanned after he was already supposed to be unbanned. Banned for nothing in the first place.

At least now I know to never trust nexon again.

And of course I get the bugged post.

So I tried making a DnF account. Even though Nexon doesn't require a KSSN anymore it requires I-Pin and a Korean phone to validate the account. It should be easier to get an account than before.

Fuck Nexon. R.I.P. DFO :_;7

I put a crap load into DFO, around 1-2 years of playing from open beta days. About 2 years ago I was hacked, millions of gold worth of avatar items were stolen. (Enough to easily add up to over a hundred dollars worth of cash), (never spent real money, been hacked in maplestory twice over before hand, grinded for that gold). I reported it, and it took them to October of last year to respond, by that time I long since gave up on the game, due to nexons lack of action. As if telling me to quit earlier last year (January), the account had been stolen (both the account and email by a hacker). I had just reacquired the account (In January of this year) to find that they gave me 50 dollars for a month, when I told them what had happened, they gave me 20 life tokens.

When I played, after finally being able to play again, the game felt so dead and boring... compared to the past. Nexon made numerous mistakes in how they went about cash items, hacking, and with the game in general over the years. Wish I could say nexon learned something, but the hell they did.

Long story short, I lost DFO quite a few times. I can't really get upset about it anymore. It was the last MMO that I dedicated myself to and first I ever made an effort to reach max level.

My experience was almost similar to yours except I stop playing after the level cap was 60 because my account was hacked. In game money, avatars, and NX were stolen. I lost the motivation to play again but still continued watching PvP fights in Korea's DnF League.

During the peak of DFO's popularity they bombarded us with events rather than speeding up the pace to patch in updates to match DnF or Arad Senki. If they had given what the community wanted like new classes and maps sooner, then DFO would of lasted longer than it did.

teampwn has an English patch for DnF China. If anyone misses DFO, and can't get into DnF KR or Arad Senki.

How to register an account for China DnF

edit*

Registering was a bitch but worth it. I'll post screens later.

Here is a video showing how to install C DnF

Jonoe why must you revive an ugly thread... QQ

Just looking at this thread makes me miss all the work I've done for this game.

Also post your screenshots/vids of your toons. My nostalgia won;t die down till I see other people's work.

Also, rare vid of my character in action. I miss my Empyrean uniform set. QQ

@Emiya: Because I want to play again!

So I hit a bump in the road, it doesn't recognize windows 8. So I'm down grading to windows 7 this weekend.

If anyone needs help with making a qq account or setting up CDNF look for psychosypher. He will help you out even if it requires using skype. That's how nice of a community team pwn is.
