Been watching Evo, the international fighting game annual championships here in the US, and spotted this arcade stick someone was using, specifically the familiar sticker on the side, featured on a Twitter account called 4GamerLive shown as the topic picture above.

Between those and the DotA 2 championships raising nearly an $11 million prize pool, it's been a wild week so far.

Also, dakimakura sighting during the BlazBlue - Chrono Phantasma semi-finals tournament:

My god, this Evo was amazing. After having watched the BlazBlue, Smash, UMvC3, USF4 tournaments, they were all so damn amazing. My heart couldn't take much more for so many of them. So incredible, so much emotion this year.

I love Evo. Well, till this time next year, I guess.

I wanted Chris G to win since I personally use his team so yeah but the favorite part was Twitch chat #ResidentSleeper [/h]

It was amazing this year. Justin deserved it more than anyone. Using two upper-mid tier characters and one god and annihilated 3 gods with his own personal team.

I respect Chris G but that team is so disgustingly scumbaggy I can't condone the thought of him winning, and I'm from East Coast. Blazblue was so hype too, I'm so surprised there was only 2 Azrael's in top 17.

I can somewhat agree with you on Chris G's team, and I was gonna say Filipino Champ uses Phoenix and sometimes I enjoy watching him come back on Dark Phoenix because I just find it downright hilarious. I'm Filipino and from the East coast and I don't like FChamp all that much. I relate more to Chris's style so shrugs.[/h]

I also was rooting for Chris G because I love watching his Morrigan plays, even if it's not my personal style. It's incredibly spammy, but a lot of fun to watch. I just love it when an underdog fighter gets successful, which is why I loved that Gen won SSF4 last year and that Rose won this year. SnakeEyes was also an underdog I was hoping for. It's just so boring to see Magneto, Doom, Pheonix, and Ryu, Sagat, Fei Long. They're so overused because they're just too god-tier. I love watching someone skilled enough to pull it off with a fighter that comes out of the peripheral.

About BlazBlue...So much Kokonoe, and they all faded away.

Meanwhile two days later I'm still salty about Flocker switching Hawkeye for Dante and barely doing anything with him.

And congrats to Luffee for winning USFIV with Rose, all those salty tears are delicious. It's funny how people are yelling for her to get nerfed when she was bascially getting fed meter from Tiger Shots.

Yeah idk what Flocker was thinking, last year at Evo XF3 Hawkeye is who won his games, not his Zero. He swapped to Dante for nothing, it was nauseating to watch, and I'm a Dante on Point guy.

Also Rose is extremely underestimated. EX Soul Spiral is absolutely stupid, I can't say it's broken but it's borderline, the only reason it's not is the fact it costs meter, which Rose has extremely easy access to vs fireball characters. I was more disappointed in the lack of Guy players, but that's just me

I just looked this up because I missed the fight, but this video of it is hilarious!

Spoiler:

This series of Nerf NOW!! comics sums up the last week for me pretty well. The comic artist is depicted as a tentacle because of a long-standing joke that he was actually a tentacle monster who raped his drawings, so he rolled with it.

EVO2014 showed that for Ultra SFIV, players who have better fundamentals and footies over vortex and knock-down set-ups are the ones that are going to shine more. Look at the top 8. With the exception of Ricky's Rufus, all of the other characters have a very strong ground game, Rose especially.

Louffy earned this year's title. Bon-chan needed to learn that Rose controls the mid-to-full screen game against Sagat, and needed to play a sweep-to-up-close game against Rose, but game up too many games before realizing and adjusting his game.

Was disappointed in F.Champ during the Winners and Losers Finals due to his chokes and drops. Good to see that JWong became once again King of MvC though.

SSBM was hype yet again. 10 moar years~

BBCP finals were so tense. By far the best finals hands down for this year.

Great EVO. Best one I've seen so far.

Juri is in both, actually. Unless you mean EVO. I think there was a small SFxT tournament, but it wasn't casted. She was in for a match in USF4, but the person playing her switched when it didn't work out. I know quite a few tricks with her, but then again, I enjoy playing the whole cast.

I remember Momochi playing her extremely well against Infiltration so I was looking forward to seeing Juri get some reputation in pro tournaments. I am disappointed. #PJSalt[/h]

Yes, so it was the Momochi vs Louffy match in top 8, but we know Louffy won EVO, so you know which way this match will head, but dat double orb soulfist tho:

Spoiler:

Still, at least Rose took the victory, and I think that's the first female cast member to win SF4 EVO ever.

KOFXIII was a blast as usual, too bad Tokido got second place for two consecutive years.

Haven't got around to watching the other games yet, will check em out in a bit

I'm really glad a female character got 1st place. I'm so sick of seeing over used high-tier characters just constantly getting high places. I never really knew a Rose could win since I could never use her to her best abilities since her play style was awkward for me. Thanks for the video, mate![/h]
