I have the japanese version and its actually a pretty fun game. Some returning characters and new characters as well. The servants in this game are actually pretty cool! If you plan to buy it (if you are a fate fan then of course its a must buy) then just be prepared to read a lot and as well save a lot cuz you do get a lot of "Game Over".

Great advice, mate. I'll keep it in mind!

Speaking of Fate fans, here's Part 2 of that aforementioned interview with the lead Aksys translator on Fate/EXTRA:
http://www.siliconera.com/2011/10/08/aksys-answer-your-fateextra-questions-part-2/

And check out who he had working with him, too!
Excerpt:
"As in Hope Donovan, my fellow editor on this project. In addition to being an extraordinarily talented editor, she also worked on the Fate manga for TokyoPop, so she became another resource to turn to when my TYPE-MOON power failed me."

Looks like this release has some serious manpower behind it. Not in numbers, but in experience with the source material. Even the most skeptical fans would start tapping their wallets once they know who was on board with this massive project!
...Or at least, they should.

Caster, since her dream is to be a bride.. lolololol. Well, I already played all 3 servants in the Japanese version.

Saber: Straight forward, easy to use.
Archer: Much more technical, with set-up spells and trigger spells. ex: UBW Chant, 1 verse, is one spell.
Caster: Her spells are direct and inflicts bad status, at the start she's weak, but she becomes the strongest servant later in the game.

Saber is absolutely the easiest to use, that auto-revive spell saved me so many times it's not funny. Her attack, defense, and HP, saved me a lot of trouble with basic encounters.

Archer overall was one of the hardest for me to use, but also the most enjoyable. No auto-revive like Saber, but the shield spell (sorry forgot the name) saved me from many NP deaths. Got to love UBW.

Caster I barely remember, but in the beginning she seemed excruciatingly hard, but became very easy by the end (or at least that seemed to be the general consensus) thanks to her NP.

All in all Saber is the easiest to use first playthrough so you have some of the enemy info in later plays to more easily survive basic encounters. I would rip my hair out if I played Caster first playthrough.

7th skill that you'll acquire after you "give" her 65 SP.

I pre-ordered mine through amazon before I saw the Gamestop special but meh.

As to who I will start with I'm thinking caster since I always felt that if I were to summon a servant a caster would suit me best.

and as to the Sequel a potential Sakura route = Insta buy

also found a Bundle of the limited edition plus Saber figma

Thanks for the mini Servant guide, mate.
Personally I guess I'm gonna have to bust my own balls (if it is that steep a curve) and go for Caster first. Aside from being really fun and interesting, she's also a totally original Fate character (unless she was in Fate/Zero somehow, but I doubt that).

And... Well, I just can't go for Saber Red. Not because of the outfit, which is very nice and fits her personality really well. It's because of her true identity.
...I can't ignore the fact that the true identity is infamous for publicly slaughtering Christians in the worst ways. Kind of like gender-bending Hitler and putting Saber's face on it, and then omitting the holocaust part of the character's backstory.

My friend says I'm just being silly ("bitch-slapping sensitive" he calls it), but some people draw the line at different things. Still, there's the badass Archer and the adorable Caster, two great reasons for a replay with different genders. This game is going to be great.

Absolutely, mate! Oh, and on that, I learned that Fate/Extra CCC will have Sakura being voiced by the same VA who did Sakura in Fate/Stay Night. I don't know if they meant the anime adaptation or the PS2 version of the visual novel, but it's something else to entice us fans.

Aksys Games isn't a very huge company and it's not all that famous either. If it does bring over Extra and the game sells as well as we assume it will, then it's practically a given we'd get Fate/Extra CCC eventually.
_Here's hoping we get to bed-down with get into that Sakura Route!
[size=10]Damn. Forgot for a minute the games won't have porn scenes...[/h]

Caster's Noble Phantasm is so OP.
Requirements: Use 9 skills (easy)
Effect: For the turn it was activated, you don't use any MP to use skills.
For best result, Get her HP below 30% so You can "Spam" her last skill.

Hot damn! Thanks for more tips, my man! Sounds like Caster can be a beast with the right tactician.
Can't wait to get into this game. It's been a long time since an RPG that wasn't a SRPG actually required tactics from me.

Oh! This reminds me of something I wanted to post a while ago.

For those of you who need more Sakura in your lives and are wondering just why Sakura is a gorgeous mix of Sakura and Rider, everything is explained (not really, but it's played up for fun) in the series of videos from some untranslated Fate/Extra extra DVD (no idea, just found this on the web).

None of the Fate/Zero characters are in Fate/Extra I read the novel awhile back and from the list of characters on the wiki page there are none.

on that note Fate/Zero can be read here.

oh and after listening to her voice in the vids you posted it doesn't sound like the anime voice though I cant be 100% sure

also according to the wiki Sakura and the mysterious black magus arent the same person and you will be summoning the same 3 servants from the 1st one

A few guys gathered some Fate/Extra CCC info on the earlier pages of this thread, and they concluded the same.

Nice to see someone who's read Fate/Zero, though. I haven't gotten into it because I'm not really one for prequels, but I might give it a read sometime. Thanks for the link, mate!

Two Sakuras... One a nurse at your school, the other a mysterious black magus...
If she's not from the anime, then she's probably from the PS2 version of Fate/Stay Night, which would be kickass since I liked her VA. She sounded stupidly mousey to me at first, but damn does the voice grow on you. Perfect for Sakura.
Hour 1: "Oh, okay, another timid and shy female character. Whatever."
Hour 5: "BUT IS SAKURA OKAY?! I NEED TO KNOW!!"

I liked both VA for Sakura so either is fine with me and the Realta Nua voice for Sakura had a similar effect on me as well.

FUCK YEAH! ONE MORE WEEK!
So what did you lot think of the videos I posted here? I don't know Japanese, but I think it's easy to get what's going on and they were genuinely funny to me.
