Hidden Gems

Games you think are awesome, that not a lot of people know about.

Some of mine:

Fighting force on PS1
F-14 tomcat on GBA
Grange hill on zx spectrum

Just a few examples.

I always felt that these games did not get the attention they deserve:

-Terranigma (SNES)
-Hexyz Force (PSP)
-Beyond The Beyond (PS 1)
-Blaster Master (NES)
-Riviera: The Promised Land (GBA/PSP)

I don't know... it's just my personal opinion, but I've spent so much time in these games it's ridiculous. I just think they're really good. Maybe give them a try sometime, since they're not long games by today's standards.

Hexyz Force is the tits.

+1 for Hexyz Force.

Also Mario Tennis Power Tour for the GBA, a solid tennis game with a storyline and mechanics done by fucking chunsoft. This game was also loaded in our local K-mart's demo GBA for over a decade (I took this picture maybe 4 months ago?!)

Threads of Fate(PS1): A great game during its time and still a great game to me. The visuals were spectacular during the PS1 days.

Ghost Trick(DS): Though it isn't underrated, not many peole know about this game. Amazing story and puzzle game.

NIER(PS3/Xbox360): Amazing story, a true favorite of mine.

Tsamari C.E.O of Pancakes
[color=#ff69b4]Brink (PS3, Xbox 360 and PC)
This was a amazing that was really fun and had a lot going for it, but no one played it online when it was a really good shooter. Made me sad when people stop playing it.

Alan Wake (Ps3, Xbox 360 and PC)
Fucking love this game. The story was amazing, the game was fun, Alan himslef was a really good MC, but from what I know not a lot of people liked it sadly. If you can get the game play it. Or read the book.

Aliens vs Predator 2010 (PS3, Xbox 360 and PC)
Same thing happen to this that happen to Brink people just stop playing a few weeks after it came out.

Theresia: Dear Emile (DS)

Seems pretty obscure to me, though I enjoyed every second of it.

Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together (SNES/PSX/PSP)

Better than FFT in my book.

The World Ends With You, while by no means underrated is not really mentioned a lot whenever I talk about games, even when talking about original DS games.

Rhythm Heaven is also really fun, though if you don't have good timing and rhythm you're gonna have a lot of trouble with the game because it's fairly strict on the timing. Especially if you're going for a perfect.

Dragon Quest: Rocket Slime is sort of under the radar. Too bad the sequel is likely never coming to the states.

VVVVVV is also a fun game, with a pretty awesome soundtrack. Same with Mighty Switch Force and Mighty Switch Force 2

This. Pretty much any first party game by WayForward is quality stuff. The Shantae series especially is an amazing old-school platformer series that still features hand-drawn sprites and there's a new 3DS one coming out this year and an HD one for PC and major consoles in the near future.
