I know it is easy to get super excited about a game. I know how easy it is to buy into the hype of a new release (movie, game, anything). So I have tried to restrain myself on my opinion of Breath of the Wild.
Holy Mother of Every Loving Fuck! This is quite simply, the greatest Zelda game I have ever played (all console, none of the GB/DS). My #1 until Breath came out was Windwaker. Open world, lots to explore, little side missions, just like the original.
Breath of the Wild blows everything away. The world is not only huge, but it is populated like no other game I have seen. For example, I was watching a doe from high grass and it was nosing around in the grass, I moved, it's head popped up, it looked around, then it cautiously went back to eating. I mean just the detail is amazing. It feels like a different world.
11/10 so far on the Wii U. I can see this game taking 100+ hours easily.
